In 1913 there were two big issues in our Congress. The enacting of the Federal Reserve and the introduction of a Federal Income Tax. Who said the number 13 was unlucky? They may be on to something. Ron Paul states that our dollar is worth only $.04 compared to one dollar in 1913 at the founding of the Federal Reserve. Did you get that? Our USA money has been inflated 25 times since 1913! Inflation is a form of secret tax that drains away net worth without Congress having to approve unpopular higher taxes. Oh what I would do for more honest men to lead our country! Watch the video and ponder how inflation kills honest savings and productive effort by bleeding away its value. God Bless, Orrin Woodward

Thanks for posting this informative video. Congressman Paul is one of my favorite leaders in Congress and he certainly knows whats going on with our nations money. I was reading through some literature from a leading dealer in precious metals and found this interesting paragraph that I would like to share.
"Today, after having long ago abandoned the gold standard, the effects of inflation are everywhere. Twenty dollars in the 1920's - either in the form of a $20 gold coin or a $20 bill- bought a fine men's suit. Since then, trillions of paper dollars have been printed by the government and added to our nation's money supply. That is why a $20 gold coin still buys a fine tailored men's suit, but a $20 bill will not even pay for the alterations." I'm looking forward to reading Ron Paul soon to be released book "End the Fed". I'm sure there will be much more insight into this unconstitutional central bank. I also applaud his and other members of Congress who support H.R. 1207 to finally audit the Federal Reserve. Re: Federal Reserve - An Honest Dollar?

The Creature From Jekyll Island is an excellent book to understand the formation of the Federal Reserve and how the economics of the American Government has been manipulated. I would highly recommend those wanting a understanding of where we are headed to read the history of where we came from.

Orrin!
I just learned that Peter Schiff is running on the Republican ticket for 2010 U.S. Senator for Connecticut to unseat Chris Dodd. http://schiffforsenate.com/ |
