Orrin,
We attended the Rollinsford, NH, monthly seminar with Marc and Christine Milletello as guest speakers. Christine shared the principle of that if you want to grow in a certain area, you should focus on doing activities that fill your "bucket". She also said that instead of just learning, we need to reflect on what we have learned to make sure we remember it to be able to implement it. Marc was hysterical in sharing a story about the faculty at their school doing the Michael Jackson "Thriller" dance in front of the student body. (I still giggle when I imagine him doing The Worm dance across the stage!) He seamlessly knit the humor into lesson, though, by saying that to get over fear you need to do things that will expand your comfort zone, even if it is embarassing. January was indeed awesome! The New Hampshire TEAM seminar attendees had the benefit of listening to Marc and Kristine Militello. Marc and Kristine were GREAT, very relatable. A gold nugget was their promotion of having a personal mission statement using SOL306 "Your Final Destination" by Chuck Goetschel, recorded at the Louisville Major Seminar last fall, and how they applied having a personal mission statement to their lives and the affect it has already had in 2008. The CD is part of the current Leadership Development Pack 2. I listened to the CD this afternoon and followed Chuck's instruction of defining the three most important core values for my personal mission statement.
I read the same instructions on Chuck's blog, and even printed them out back in December but never got around of going through the exercise of "writing them down". Thanks, Marc and Kristine! Your teachings have made an immediate positive change on my life for 2008. Re: January Team Seminars

Our seminar in the New Hampshire woods by Marc and Kristine Militello was excelent. Kristine touched many with time of reflection(daily),the funnel of personality/relationship and the variety of books availlable through our awesome TEAM system. I could relate to Marc as a phlegmatic personality who teaches and coaches. His talk on Leadership skills, coaching with Team principles, proper association, time he has spent with you Orrin, his favorite quotes, along with reading, listening and associating with TEAM made a huge impact in the Northeast. Fired up for 2/10/08 and St. Louis--be free Coach

Our Seminar was in Atlanta last night and the Always INCREDIBLE Don and Chris Freeze were the guest speakers. Needless to say they were AWESOME. Chris did so much teaching, I took pages of notes. She challenged us to evaluate our true leadership level by using the 2nd best Leadership book ever written John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. She also taught us to Flex our P.E.C. (Praise Encouragement and Compliment) muscles when we speak to others. Chris helped us to understand that we really don't need to ever correct anyone unless they are about to hurt themselves and that we should strive to be honest and trustworthy. We should give people the benefit of the doubt and to always be humble and admit when we are wrong.
Don taught us to evaluate our growth using Personality Plus, The Five Love Languages and the Trilateral Leadership Ledger. He then inspired us with Current events that rocked us to our core and Incredible stories from history that helped us to realize we are not doing enough to affect change in our culture. Don also walked us through the "Cycle of the Body Politic" (Adhere to your Purpose by Chris & Terri Brady), it was truly inspiring! Chris & Don ROCK Thanks to Team for sending them to the A-T-L! Mark & Cheryl Isham: Team Dynamic The Seminar was awsome! Don went over some statistics found on You Tube: Did U Know. Veryinteresting. He went over the Life Cycle from Freedom to Bondage. America needs to wake up and realize what we are giving up when we don't stand up. Thanks to Don & Chris Freeze for sharing their hearts.

Starting with Men's Leadership in Flint, MI
Mark Paul and his recap of The Magic of Thinking Big. I have been listening to this audio recording to re-visit that book over the last few days in my truck. What a coincidence! Ed Zetner speaking on Financial Discipline. He quoted some information from a book by Tom Stanley, but I did not catch the title. Telling us how 25% of the millionaires don't spend more than $24. for a hair cut, $340,000. for a home, $30,900. for a car, etc. I found interesting. Chuck Cullen's Social & Political Convictions talk really fired me up. Specific information I picked up for immediate implementation, "Tracking where we spend all of our money". My wife and I have agreed to carry a note pad with us each day and record everywhere we spend anything. We should have been doing this years ago! We are presently reading "Gods Plans For Your Finances", following their recommendations. So it was great timing to hear from Ed on his points. The next thing for immediate implementation, Graphing our life! I finally understand how to measure all of our goals and actions with the use of graphs. The Tri-lateral Leadership Ledger, starting each quality with "I ALWAYS"..... and then numbering 1-10 for measurement. Same with all of our goals. All of the speakers were excellent. For some reason, this meeting seemed as though the educational quality has evolved tremendously. Or could it just be that I am the one evolving? Saturday in Saginaw with Tim and Amy Marks was everything I had hoped for! The Steps to Success, Inner Personal Skills, pursuing Everyday Greatness, and The Dream Giver Book recap featuring "ORRINARRY". That was pretty good. Glad to stock my trunk with the new Leadership Development Pack 1 & 2 CD sets. I had just listened to Where Have All The Leaders Gone? by George & Jill Guzzardo and Build on Your Strengths by Doug & Sheri Stroh on my trip to the seminar. Excellent teaching there! Glad to see them included in the new CD packs. Can't wait to hear the rest of them. A new question to add to our social conversations "What have you done in the last three years that you will remember the rest of your life? Julie and I are so thankful that God has brought us to the TEAM. There have been so many changes in our life's and our family's. We have a whole new outlook and ambition for the life God has blessed us with! We can not thank our leaders in TEAM enough! May God bless the TEAM and all of our leaders. We look forward to a long and wonderful journey BUILDING THE TEAM! Julie & Paul Staples, BBNQ Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin, Thank you so much for coming to the "Great White North", Truro, Nova Scotia for our Maritime Atlantic seminar! I know I speak for many when I say we appreciate your and Laurie's time and wisdom.
Laurie spoke of the power of perseverance...written on my bathroom mirror are those words. She also spoke about having a spirit of thankfulness...we (and by we, I mean me...lol) so often, have a tendancy to complain about what we dont have, instead of being thankful of the things we were blessed with. This has become my resolve...to be more thankful and to thank the Lord for each new day and ALL that comes with it. Thank you Laurie! "If you can't say no to the good, you can't say yes to the great!" will help me with my delayed gratification. The 2 sets of 3 should just be people's motto's for life. Looking forward to seeing our line-up for 2008 seminars up here in New Brunswick. See you in St. Louis!!! Re: January Team Seminars

Our Houston Seminar is next weekend and the speakers are Randy and Susan Walker. They are both fantastic speakers and are currently leading our book study of Launching a Leadership Revolution. I cannot wait until January 19 to hear what they have to share! I did want to throw in one more thank
you for the Men's Leadership in Irving, Tx. on Friday night. I have never heard Dean Frey or Ron Simmons in person, and wow did they do a fantastic job. Ron spoke about Character and really affected me. What a great speaker. I also cannot say enough about Dean Frey. Goal setting, excellence, playing above your ability to accomplish your personal best. Being a lion chaser. Dean was tremendous. Finally, Phil M. (sorry, didn't catch the last name) spoke about mentorship. It was an extremely emotional talk. Phil's gut level honesty and...realness...I just can't think of another word, made the marathon drive to and from the Dallas area worth every minute. Thank you Phil for your honesty. Orrin,
As per usual the Team Seminar in St. Louis was excellent. Chris & Terri Brady were our speakers and words do not describe the enthusiasm and excitement that was present! We had a huge turnout of people and the growth of the TEAM totally amazes me! After Chris spoke he laid out some 'home work' to do after the seminar. It has pushed us to a new internal drive and purpose and we just want to say "Thank You" for providing us with such great opportunity! Re: January Team Seminars

Hey Orrin,
In St. Louis we had the honor of hearing from Chris and Terry Brady. Need I really say more? But , I will because they really rocked the house, brought the house down and hit a home run. Starting with Terry on Friday night! What I love and respect about Terry is that she shares from the heart, is very transparent and can weave together and story and a main point like very few other. On Friday with Get in the game, Traits of a Wife as a leader (using the book Lies Women Believe which I bought because of Amy's Cd and will now read because of both) as well as the question which made me sit straight up and wonder "What would my children say my purpose was?" Wow!! Thanks Terry Brady. Then Chris, as the country well knows he is amazing too, First his definition of success being when preparedness and opportunity meet. Yet, he drove it home to say we look for the opportunity but what we should focus on is being prepared and that is what TEAM does for us!!!!!!! YES! Then he gave us keep the main thing the amin thing using the Circle of Influence as a pwerful visual. Last but not least the thought provoking questions in the ticket holders. As you can see and already knew they taught us, compelled us to think and act and serve and challenged us to Press Toward the Mark......God Bless Chirs and Terry! We Love them!! Orrin, Ihave to say this whole weekend was just awesome. Friday at men's leadership was great with Mark Paul talking about ridding yourself of excuses(something I need to do better) bringing out the Magic of Thinking Big to read about excusitis again will help. Then Ed Zetner talking about developing financial discipline something my wife and I have worked hard on this year and instead of spending all our money/month we are saving money/month coming closer to ridding ourself of debt and I know I got more from Ed on how to continue the process understanding how millionaires spend their money smartly not foolishly and to have patience since we won't be able to get out of debt tommorow after taking years to get there. Chuck Cullen talking about being convictedsocially, politically and spirituallyusing the Bible's priciples for the basis of truth, having your convictions and actions in line and trust being the biggest element of being a leader. Jim Martin(new PC member congratulations) talking about passionatly I might add about success being reserved for the bold not having FEAR, not taking others opinions or you'll end up where they are at(another thing I need to work on) and thinking differently to change our attitudes in everything we do. Larry VanBuskirk talking about focusing on your values, being with others whose values you respect and If you can't explain and defend your beliefs you believe in nothing. Tim Marks funny as can be but serious to as he spoke of having a battle to fight. Obviously coming from the book Wild at Heart talking about standing for what you believe in stepping up to the challenge in the face of opportunity along with a couple of great sayings "Courage is doing something in the face of fear" and "Success is when opportunity meets preparation".
Saturday in Saginaw was more of the same starting with Amy and her extraordinary steps to success 1. Having a positive self image, 2. Having good relationships, 3. Setting goals not just now but also 5-10 yrs from now, 4. Having apositive attitude and believeing in yourself, 5. Having the willingness to do whatever it takes and 6. Having the desire and drive to find youe purpose for whatever you want. Also she talked about a book called Everyday Greatness by Stephen Covey and always pursue greatness as a way of living, not conforming to others but transforming yourself daily and not to stop growing and learning just because results haven't shown today because they will tomorrow. Tm was great opening up with inner personal skills the book Achieveing Authentic Success and Building your Mates Self Esteem along with many comments from How to Win Friends and Influence People. He also talked about setting goals using Define Learn Do, Magic of Thinking Big along with closing the second half with the highlights of The Dream Giver and the journey of "ORRINARY" to the land of Promise. Needless to say 2008 is starting out on a Fired Up note. Itook alot of things away from this weekend that I need to work on but through dillegence and drive and a asense of purpose I can achieve anyyhing I desire to do. Looking forward to a great 08 Tom Re: January Team Seminars

I attended the Chris and Vicki Olds seminar in Escanaba, MI. What fun! We of course all hung on their Orrin and Laurie stories :-), but Chris absolutely blew us away with a story of his own father. Chris admired him so immensely and yet one day looked at himself and realized he was not living the principles he had learned through his father. He was so emotional and so convicted. He also shared that when Uncle Orrin asked his son Andrew what had changed most about his dad since involvement with Team, Andrew without hesitation said, "My dad doesn't get mad any more". Wow, what kind of testimony was that! When we thought we had heard could not be topped, he came out for the ticket holders and shared a story about his recent sky diving experience and the 26 year old who has since tragically died that compared what he was doing in the special forces to the mission of team. Very powerful.
Vicki edified Laurie and the absolute blessing that she had been in her life (you too of course!). She shared a quote from "God's Plan for Your Finances" - "most people spend more time planning their summer vacation than their financial future" with a story of their family to drive this point home - which it indeed did! Awesome! Laurie Tallio Re: January Team Seminars

Hey, Orrin yesterday afternoon we were honored with the great Chuck Goetchel. WOW! What an amazing man. He had the crowd laughing and crying. He shared with us on working on our core values-beliefs-emotions-actions-results and tying all those together. There are no words to describe for me what that afternoon was like. I could not possibly describe to someone who wasn't there what it was all about. The second half was his sharing some of his story. He also shared with us that once we start don't ever stop. That we need to pay the price to succeed and that even if we fail and fail and fail that we are not failures. That every time we fail hopefully we learn, adjust and keep trying, but still very much living our purpose and our why? The nugget for me was that I need to know how my dash will affect the people that I will leave behind when my time has come. What difference I will have made in my family's life and the people I will be surrounded with. The difference however small I will have made in this world. Thanks to The Team and the amazing leaders we have that are giving us the tools and the means to make that difference in the world and our lives big or small. Chuck also gave us an assignment and that is to work on our Life Purpose Statement and believe you me that will be one life changing assignment for me. I started that today by going back into the church with our family and adding a big chunk to that statement and that is God. Thanks for all that you do for us and the whole Team. Thanks Chuck

Our first seminar was in December in Saginaw Michigan, Orrin and Laurie were the speakers, and to say it was awesome would be an understatement. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of it and took with us several nuggets to help us with our leadership development.
January Seminar was just as spectacular with Tim and Amy Marks speaking. Tim is hilarious with his impression of butterball and Amy's talk on striving for everyday greatness is something I will think about everyday. At a time in our lives when we needed it Amy let everyone know that was there that she thought we were great, each of us, know matter what anyone else thought. We are proud to say we are part of TEAM and can't wait to see what 2008 has in store! St. Louis is going to be awesome!! Andy & Jill Re: Re: January Team Seminars

We thought Tim and Amy were amazing as usual. I have not been able to get the song out of my head... "Starting all over again... We gonna make it!" My sister and I were just listening to "Bugs, Bats and a Legacy," we found it amusing that Amy referred to Nash as a "Butterball" during the talk.
I personally walked away with the reminder of "random acts of kindness." The importance the little things we say and do have on those around us. Thank you - Tim and Amy! Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
Doug Stroh's talk last night in Indianapolis, IN on the Five Languages of Apology was fantastic. I had not thought about applying that in business (with unhappy customers) but I have to read the book now. Doug did a great job of casting a vision for 2008 and his promotion of the February Major in St. Louis has definitely helped set my goal of working hard to share the Teams vision with everyone I can in the next month! Thank you Doug! I would like to say thanks to you Orrin for your vision for Team. It was just one year ago that I attended my first Team event. I attended with a friend and my brother, with none of us knowing anything about Team other than it was a great opportunity!! And was that an understatement. The January Columbus seminar with Pat & Paula Edwards made a big impact on my life. It helped me overcome a fear that I had been dealing with for four years. We send our children to a private christian school and they have the dads on a rotation to come in on Mondays and do devotions. My daughter was in the fourth grade and I had not once taken my turn to do devotions (it was easier to take care of plumbing issues). Pats talk that night on overcoming our fears changed that. I went home that night and told my wife ( she did not attend the seminar with me, as she felt I was already busy enough with my small plumbing and excavating business) that Monday I was going to go do devotions, it "happened" to be my turn. Thanks Pat, for inspiring me and giving me the courage to overcome a fear. My text verse was Phil. 4:13, it really felt good and the children, especially mine, really made it worth it. I have to say that each seminar and Major Convention we have been to since has helped to stretch me to be better in every area of my life and in the life of my family. I look forward for a great 2008 as I continue to read and grow with the Leadership Principles the Team teaches. Thanks again, Les and Natalie Bowman Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
Harrisburg Pennsylvania rocked! Jim and Delores Martin (brand new PC members!) were inspirational. Delores, as always, spoke with such passion and conviction about leading by example, among other things, and Jim was so real and down to earth. At one point he talked about getting leverage on yourself and making commitments and told the story of when he told his daughter he would not have a job by the time she was a certain age, then she went and told all her friends at school. What a great example of putting yourself in a death-ground position, as Chris Brady talks about on "Character". I could really see their hearts and it was great to see them getting the results to back it up. We also had the priveledge of recognizing current media warrior champions, Ben and Rosie Riehl. Way to go guys! Thanks again, Orrin, Anthony Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
We attended the Wausau Wi seminar and our speakers were George and Jill Guzzardo. As always they have a wonderful way of reaching our hearts thru humor and history. We were reminded thru Jill's slinky that we must think outside the box and take action. We can prepare for change by opening our mind by using our system and applying what we learn. George shared the stories of several people who are going thru personal challenges but do not use it as an excuse. It reminded us that we should be grateful for everything we have and look past ourselves. No more excuses. We all have to figure out our cranberry (excuse) and apply what we learned. Get into action. Thank you George and Jill. Re: January Team Seminars

I attended the monthly seminar in Littleton, CO. Barb and Jeff Grainger were outstanding. Not only did they provide the fun and knowledge that I cherish and absorb from TEAM but they delivered a great message while giving me the extra boost that I so dearly needed to keep working towards my goals. Barb provided the fun and Jeff got to the meat of the matters ranging from "majoring on the minors" in my family relationships to the 5 levels of Leadership as defined in the LLR. I was pleasantly surprised with Jeff's relatability and the sincerity of his message. As the kids would say, props to them, and God bless them for coming to Denver.

Hi Orrin! We were blessed in St Louis with none other than Chris and Terri Brady! What an amazing Ladies Leadership on Friday and inspirational teaching Saturday evening. The person I brought with me had never attended anything before and during the second half, ran back to the tool room to buy "How to Have Power and Confidence in Dealing With People." It's incredible the amount of positive influence a couple like Chris and Terri can have over someone searching for SOMETHING to fill their life's purpose. How great it is to be apart of changing someone's life for the better. The most important thing I took from the seminar was how to be a better uplifter. I took notes like crazy. Thank you Terri for sharing that with us! I absolutely loved the thought starters Chris shared at the Ticket Holder's meeting. I definately have my homework cut out for me. Thank you, Chris.

We attended the Portland, OR seminar with Roger and Laura Sitcler. This was their first time speaking and the ticket holder's meeting gave us the biggest share of the nuggets we took away. Roger talked about a mandate for mentoring and we took away several points from the article he related about the importance of mentoring and the need we have to mentor as we become leaders...The biggest nugget was the 6 Key Factors for Connecting with people from Laura...Personal Authenticity; Relationships; Approachability; Mutual Repertoire, Belief in People; Meaning & Depth.
For their first time speaking at a TEAM Seminar, Roger and Laura did an excellent job of teaching and getting the leadership information across to all aspects of the audience. This was a timely and much needed message for us. God Bless, Jeff and Bethanie Re: January Team Seminars

We had been graced with the wisdom and vision, and the passion and conviction of George and Jill Guzzardo in Wausau, WI last night. George and Jill raised the roof. While Jill taught of Change and the Acute Ostrich Syndrome, George taught of Facing Fears, Creative Intelligence, and blended into Change with some later Historical teaching. WOW! When it comes to learning, one can not help but see why George and Jill are such effective Leaders of Leaders… they are great students first. What an inspiration and true blessing.
Thank You, George and Jill. Here are a few notes and quotes that I have added to my arsenal: ◦We must free our minds of the way we look at things – The Art of Forgetting. ◦It’s… Change, Are You ready? Not… Ready, Set, Change. ◦Wealth now consists of thoughts, not things. ◦The measure of a servant is not in what he has done, but what others have done as a result of what he has done. ◦It is not What can I expect from the Team?, but What can the Team expect from me? ◦With God’s hand on us, there will be no limitation to the effect, we as a Team will have in this world. What have I learned? I have learned that as the creative tension stretches our abilities, our awareness will increase, through which we develop the endurance, stamina, and courage much needed to adapt to change. I have learned that the demand to readily increase our abilities upon how we respond to adversity will be imperative in the Information Age. We must prepare ourselves. I learned that if we are to learn from the civilizations throughout history, we are in even more dire times to change the media that is infecting our culture. I have learned that there has never been a greater time, which has called for us to be obedient to God’s vision. God Bless, Jim Feist P.S. Thank You, Orrin. Your courage to stand for and act upon what is right will lead Billions to truth. It is an honor to play a part on this Team. You have made an impact in my life that will affect generations to come. Wow!! We had Chuck Goetchel up here in Manitoba. Imagine someone leaving their 2 boys at home where it is 71 degrees to go to a place that is -20 degrees to talk to people who you don't know and are not a part of your organization - THAT'S LEADERSHIP. There were so many great nuggets and I see that JoAnne has covered a number of them, and here are just a few more:
- Endurance is blazing hope. - The true value of freedom - Everything starts with the heart - How can I? - Teach yourself to deny. - Do the things that you don't want to do (it is easier if you identify those core values) - We will either be a magnifying glass (making things appear larger than they are or a filter removing the non-essential. - Preplay your future instead of replaying your past. - Start a gratitude journal - we have so much to be thankful for. - We can live one of 3 lives - one of survival, one of success, one of significance. - If there is one thing you could change in the world what would it be then apply your gifts towards that end. - At anytime you can reinvent yourself - Live a life of purpose on purpose. Pauline and I were honored to host Chuck and he is through and through the example, the model of the servant leader. He was the last to leave the seminar (over an hour after it was over) giving every person who came into contact with him his undivided attention. Thanks so much Chuck you have created the ripple effect breaking through the winter's ice. I believe it will be an early spring here this year probably February. God Bless! Orrin, What a tremendous seminar here in Phoenix, Arizona! We were extremely blessed to have the “MASTER DREAM BUILDERS” Randy & Valorie Haugen perform incredible teaching sessions. Randy Haugen created a reality atmosphere were you could hear a pin drop in the auditorium. The crowd was following him so closely on his visionary travels that it was almost like they were able to touch, feel and smell his adventures. What an inspirational experience! Randy: “I have failed in everything I have ever tried. But I succeeded in the areas in which I decided to”. Some people always look for reasons why it can’t be done. Their subconscious minds will always hinder them to do because they are controlled by their thoughts. If we think we can - than we will find the support through our subconscious mind and we turn success thoughts into reality. We need to develop a “as if” mentality. Dreams and the desires have to be created first. If they are strong enough a plan to exercise will always come along. We have to develop an “all consuming up session” for it. If we are not ready it doesn’t matter what opportunity comes along; we will not be able to recognize it. It is up to the leader to be ready for the moment. How can we move from average to wealthy? Well, success takes effort! It doesn’t happen by accident. Participants always get the meat – spectators have to accept the leftovers. BELIEVE == BEHAVIOR == RESULTS == LONG TERM NEEDS We need to believe things into existence in order to develop the right behavior that will allow us to create the results we want out of life. Only then we are able to fulfill our long term needs. Giving birth to everything is painful. That applies to the birth of our believes as well. Orrin, we are thankful to be able to experience leaders like Randy & Valorie Haugen this weekend. Fired up! 39 days to go until St. Louis. See you there. With respect, Herbert S. WAUSAU with George & Jill Guzzardo! It's so hard to put into words what this couple means to me, personally.
The wisdom that these people have is really a rarity in this world. Just when you get to thinking you might know a thing or two in life, you get humbled real fast after spending 5 hours with the Guzzardo's! Jill's "SLINKY" talk was incredible and it was really something to watch George face his "cranberry" too! The teachings and messages regarding leadership and change were stunning. Here's how I can tell when I've been around George and Jill: I can listen as intently as humanly possible for the entire seminar, think I grasped exactly the message they were conveying, and two, three, four, five hours after the seminar, it comes up and hits me right where it hurts! George's talks at the men's leaderships have the same affect on people. The level of thinking these people are on is amazing. I call them the "Ultimate Messengers" because they are the very best at teaching the world about our media war and the sense of urgency that we're faced with. It's so true that the TEAM only has the "best of the best" at their disposal. I'm blessed beyond imagination! Thanks George and Jill! Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
We had the wonderful privelage of having Joe and Jane Mcguire come out to Sacramento, CA. As always, Joe and Jane came prepared to bring new information to everyone, and also information taught before but prepared in a new fashion. Their ability to learn and grow to expand their capacity is always present in their lessons. I learned a new concept from Jane about a reverse focus. That sometimes our good intentions can leave a negative effect on others, so we should examine ways to motivate with the positive. With Joe, I learned that the one thing we have control over is ourselves. I know we've all heard this one before but no one example brings this meaning it's full value like Joe and Janes' own personal story! It amazes me to hear Joe and Jane tell how they were before the TEAM, and to see and hear them today makes it hard to believe that they went through so much change to get where they are now. They both are truly a blessing to this organization and I would have to aggree with you Orrin.....Joe truly is a Powerful Phlegmatic!! I speak for all of the TEAM leaders in Sacramento, that we absolutely love Joe and Jane, and appreciate their time. God Bless, Andrew Zentner Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin: We were blessed to have George & Jill Guzzardo doing our seminar in the Wausau Area. The theme of the night was change and no matter how scarey the word sounds, change is for the good. That in order for things to get better change is inevitable. For us to be the leaders we want to be and help project our teams where they need to be there has to be change. Inspiration was felt throughout the whole seminar, that without changing ourselves--how do we inspire others do desire different results. That this whole 6 months hopefully was full of changing, growing, learning, diving into books--whatever you can get your hands on, listening to cd's like crazy. Doing all this so when our brighter future is rolled out, we are on our way to be the leaders we need to be to help lead a team of people with the leadership qualities needed, so it isn't just unmanaged chaos.
Thank you so much for letting us have George and Jill teach us, lead us and inspire us with their knowledge and love Sincerely, Jennifer Schreiber Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
Jim and Dolores Martin were at the Zembo in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday. What I remember most vividly from Dolores' talk is the way she handled different situations with her son and daughter differently. Her daughter was a cheerleader for four years and set a goal to win the state championship before she graduated. Each year the team improved and finished higher in the standings at the end of the year. In her daughter's last year Dolores some of the other cheerleaders putting down another girl and her first thought was to pull her daughter off the cheerleading team. She did not want her associating with such a negative crowd. However upon further reflection she decided that this would not be the right thing to do. Things resolved themselves and in the end the team won the state championship. The situation with her son playing basketball was completely different. For each of his first three years of high school he tried out for basketball and was cut from the team each year. He played in another league outside of school. The high school coach obviously had never read Wooden (can you believe that?) so in his senior year he decided not to go out for the high school team and have the opportunity to play for a coach who did not value his hard work and improvement, but to instead to play in the other league for a coach who valued him and whom he truly respected. The two things that I got from Jim's talk were first, that the cycle of achievement in chapter 3 of LLR needs to be constantly rotated, especially noting that goals are to be carved in stone, if you don't achieve a goal the goal doesn't go away it just needs to be reset with a new date. Plans, however, must be written in sand so that they can be changed to adapt to changing circumstances. The second thing was that in setting priorities we must know that there are many good things that we can do, there are a few great things that we can do, but there is only one best thing that we can do. Thanks a lot Jim and Dolores. You were great! DaveC Re: January Team Seminars

OUR NEW TEAM MEMBERS FINALLY REALIZED WHAT WE MEAN WHEN WE TELL THEM THAT THIS WILL BE LIKE NO OTHER "BUSINESS MEETING" THAT THEY HAVE EVER ATTENDED. LIKE OTHERS I AM ANXIOUS FOR WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING, BUT AT THE SAME TIME REALIZE THAT I NEED TO BE ABOUT PREPARING NOW, TODAY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING STEVE AND JILL WELCH WITH US. J. What an excellent topic for the blog! It is great to see the pieces of the million person puzzle in action all over North America and to get the notes and nuggets from all the speakers on Monday morning is a true bonus! As for my seminar(s): A few of us traveled to St Louis to see Chris and Terry Brady and they were wonderful. I have heard Chris speak at major leaderships but there was something different about him on Saturday night...there was vision and passion in his eyes that was a new "flavor" from before. I shook his hand at the book signing table and he was so gracious to genuinely listen, everytime he walked down the aisle to speak I looked him in the eyes...you can see he is on fire, a man on a mission. I tell you it was great to hear him speak...but what I would give for an uncensored blow by blow of whats really going on in his head!
This Saturday our local seminar is in Madison with Billy and Peggy Florence...to grow in a life of influence I think they are going to help immensely. I pray that someday I can be like BIlly and Peggy, great thoughts, lifter of people, only kind words spoken! Thanks for the Blog...everyone out there...lets get the information in more people's hands! Send an email with Orrins Blog address today! Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
My wife and I attended the Indianapolis Indiana seminar and Doug Strohe really hit home with us. He spoke on the Five Languages of Apology by Gary Chapman. As newly weds, what he shared with us about making recompence seems so vital in a healthy marriage. He did a commendable job espacially because he was all by himself. He inspired me to buy the book and i am starting to read it now. THanks Doug! You were awesome! p.s. Thank you Orrin for your inspiring thoughts on your blog. I love reading them and have refered several people to them for inspiration because i know that i can trust what you say! Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin, Jim and Doloris Martin (in Harrisburg Pa) New PC members, were of course awesome. Jim was great describing his finances during his first few years of employment. Seeing the frequent increases in salary, with confidence he increased his debt. Great talk. Orrin, I am a CD junkie and Doloris hit a Grand slam with her talk in session 2. That talk needs to get on CD. One of the Best I've ever heard, (next to your history lesson in Kentucky). The content, the flow, the passion! Wow what a privilege. I want to hear it again. Man I Love this TEAM! Thank you.

I laughed so hard. Tim Marks is a stitch. Amy is great also. Although, a bit more mellow. That is what made this so great though. I have posted my notes from the seminar on my blog. http://mandyjo.blogharbor.com/blog The conversation on the way home with my boyfriend was good too. I just started in December going to seminars, although I had worked at the Team office for awhile, I had never attended a seminar to listen to the speakers. I have been reading your book and have now attended 2 seminars. Things are going well. I'm going to try to fit in more leadership books with my college books. Anyway, my boyfriend hesitantly went with me on Saturday. He enjoyed it. In our ride home conversation he told me that if I want to do this that he will back me and that I better get going on building because he wants to retire by 2010. :-) So, needless to say, I am going to get my tail building. I can't wait to see the future in 08. Mandy Jo Re: January Team Seminars

Our Team seminar is coming up this saturday. My daughter just turned 12 and requested "business" attire as a gift so that she could go to a seminar. She was telling me last night - "6 days til my first seminar". We are so excited to see her anxious to learn, grow and become apart of such an amazing Team. Can't wait to see what we will learn this time. Thanks and God Bless, Kristy Re: January Team Seminars

Hi Orrin! My husband and I attended Saginaw seminar this Jan 12 withTIM AND AMY MARKS! It was amazing of course! Amy spoke about Hope and becoming a Difference Maker and Tim spoke about Interpersonal Skills and some of his favorite books. He even read an email from you! He read passages from The Dream Giver except his character was "Orrin-ary" not "Ordinary". They are phenomenal people, and we are so blessed to be part of this phenomenal TEAM! God Bless you, the TEAM, and the world as we go out to make a difference!!!!
Re: January Team Seminars
We had the most awesome seminar with Jerry Polly Harteis. They are true leaders in my heart. One quote he said ,was when you spill a chemical in your eyes ,the first and most important thing to do is to flush it with lots of water. When you get negative from
co workers ,bosses ,spouse ,or neighbors, we need to flush it with books cds and association. I thought that was a great example. Keep up your great work . We will go to a million and beyond................... Re: January Team Seminars

Hi Orrin! My Husband and I attended the Saginaw Seminar event - TIM and AMY MARKS ROCK! Their oration on personality types must have been supported by hidden cameras in my home! Too Funny! The nugget I came away with this time? I sent a text to my daughter (who is on the TEAM as well) because she left before the ticket holder meeting. I informed her she missed something GREAT in Tim and Amy. My daughter is 19 and has had much disillusionment about marriage since witnessing my husband and I work through some really rough times in the last few years. I assured her in this text that seeing Tim and Amy would have restored her faith in marriage - because their talk was simply honest, funny, thought provoking, and did I say funny? But at the heart, what honor they gave to marriage simply by example. We laughed at their quick recovery when news from mens leadership came to Amy unexpectedly. (So much for "the code") :) She is a first-class woman who I so greatly admire and respect. And, finally, this "Butterball" story is hilarious, and I must say Tim does an outstanding job duplicating "Butterball's" antics! We always leave blessed........

We had the honor of learning from Mike and Carol Foos in Edmonton Alberta. We talked about ANGER. This set me back a bit. I thought we were a positive organization BUT Anger is real and its out there. We cant ignore the subject. We learned the symptoms and reasons for anger but even better, Mike explained some SOLUTIONS to anger. Some books he suggested MAN IN THE MIRROR -Patrick Morley and HEALING FOR DAMAGED EMOTIONS - DAvid Seamans. I am Sanguine/Phlegmatic I do not get angry very often but I know what to do when I do... do do do (ha ha).
I met Mike quickly and I noticed one thing, he is very smart and you can tell he is listening to you. Carol is a blast, so down to earth and caring. Re: January Team Seminars

I attended the conferance in St Louis Saturday. I have been listening to Chris and Terry cd's for 4 years, but this was the first time I have ever seen the dynamic duo in person. I was in awe, it adds so much to see them and hear them at the same time. It was an awsome evening, I am looking forward to a great 08. I can't wait to see you and your lovely bride. Keep the faith Orrin, and thanks for making dreams come true. Re: January Team Seminars

The meeting in Denton, Texas was outstanding. Dean & Teressa Frey were so good. I have been attending business meetings a long time and this young couple have a lot going for them. We are so fortunate to have young couples on the TEAM who have been open to learn from the leaders and put those things to action in their home and with their children. They will certainly be blessed as they blessed each of us at that seminar.

I attended the Sacramento, CA seminar with Joe and Jane Mcguire! I was in awe of Jane's transparency and her humble nature. I feel I have more permission than ever before to be open and vulnerable about who I am and my journey through life. I saw what her honesty did for me and for a teammate of mine who was sitting next to me. I have to say that I was confronted a few different times and I have a little more clarity about who I am for people.
Thank you Joe and Jane Mcguire for sharing your lives with us! Samantha Saroyan Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
I attended the Harrisburg, PA. meeting with Jim and Dolores Martin as the speakers. They are powerful speakers and I enjoyed their commitment and enthusiasm for TEAM and the system. It is easy to see why they recently made policy council. Jim and Dolores talked about the importance of relationships and how you can make a positive impact on people by accepting people where they are and not judging them. They explained the importance of asking questions and listening to people. Jim stated that good relationship leads to trust which leads to confidence. The better the relationships the more effective you can be. Dolores talked about the importance of the top 5 books and how reading books like Personality Plus and The Five Love Languages can help you better understand yourself and others. She talked about how the system has changed their lives for the better. Jim talked about not waiting for the world to change but going out and changing the world. He said to look for the good in people, connect with people, and realize that the heart comes before the head. They both stated that everyone can be successful because God doesn’t make any junk. Amen! It was well worth the 5 ½ hour drive from Newport News, Virginia to hear them speak and learn from their experiences. Thanks for TEAM and leadership that you provide us all. God Bless and I’ll see you all in St. Louis. Re: January Team Seminars

I attended the Sacramento, CA seminar with Joe and Jane Mcguire! Joe & Jane's story really hit home for Melissa and I. We were really living OK lives, OK marriage, OK up raising of our kids. Before the association of TEAM, we did not know that we did not know. We were just following the 95% thinking that we knew, and we did not even know we were following it you know? Thank you so much Joe & Jane for sharing the truth. You have really touched our lives!

The event in the Dallas area with Dean & Teresa Frey was one of the best that I have ever attended. They were both so relatable to the whole crowd. The openness that they had with us really was great to hear. You can tell that who they are on stage is the same people that they are off stage. Leadership like that is hard to find. I guess that is what makes them such great teachers. I hope that comes out on a CD. They have the ability to reach down inside of you, make you feel special and then go do the same for someone else. Thank you both for your courages leadership.

Tim & Brandy Jarvinen made the perilous trek across the border to speak in Waterloo Ontario. I loved the way they quoted and edified Claude (most of us are on Claude's team) as well as Orrin, Tim Marks and other leaders. Both used their personal experiences as perfect illustrations of the principles they were speaking about. Tim also used made-up parables, metaphors and allegories that were really thought-provoking (such as, if you think you're "hard-wired" for failure, then it's time to get out the tin snips and cut away the stuff that isn't leading you towards success). Another comment of Tim's that really hit home (I'm paraphrasing): "Events and meetings don't make people grow, but they can inspire you to make a decision and act to change things in your life."
Tim and Brandy, thank you so much for sharing your stories. I was deeply moved, and inspired. "I'm just hoping that one day you'll see in me what I see in you", and be the kind of leadership example to others that you are to me. Re: January Team Seminars

Orrin,
Mindy & I attended the Saginaw Leadership seminar featuring Tim and Amy Marks. As always Tim and Amy were absolutely outstanding!! Amy's talk in th first half of the seminar on responsibility really hit home with me on a situation that we had been dealing with in our organization. After listening to Amy I made sure at one of the breaks to approach the individual with whom the issue was taking place and apologize. Just by taking that one step I now know that this is behind me and that I can move forward without this"anchor' slowing me down any longer. Tim and Amy's talk in the ticket holder portion was extremely informational on relating to the different personalities and was VERY beneficial for all in attendance. Once again I would like to thank not only Tim and Amy, but especially you Orrin for your vision, leadership, love, and GREAT devotion to our Lord and Savior. Without you and the entire leadership of TEAM, the future would not be as bright for our country. With our deepest respect & love, Scott & Mindy Coons Re: January Team Seminars

Jan 11 and 12th was a great weekend for the Team in the Dallas area!
Dean Frey, Ron Simmons and Phil Mette kicked off the first ever men's leadership on 1/11 in Irving, TX. and I can't say enough about how moving the talks were. Dean's talk about doing things with excellence was fantastic. He got into the importance of having a vision and setting goals in five key areas that will make you grow. He was so relatable when he covered the four areas to focus on for success - always challenging our thinking! Ron Simmons's talk on what it means to have character was great - he broke down each letter in the word "character" inti it's own topic. It helped realize that Character can be changed, learned and you can always improve. Phil's talk on Mentors - the what , who and why was truly moving and so tranparent that it really hit home for many of us! My wife and I then attended the 1/12 Monthly seminar in Denton, TX. to hear Dean and Theresa Frey. I have to say that their talks on writing down ideas for your personal mission statement, picturing what success will look like for you and connecting people with their vision weree the best I have ever heard at a monthly seminar in Texas! Dean and Theresa have a wonderful way of getting their message across to the audience. There were many nuggets to take away. If we apply only some of the principles from the truths they talked about, we will definetly be further along on the Journey.......enjoying it more with the Team! The belief that you have in TEAM is passed on to the most seasoned vetern as well as the person who has yet to become part of the TEAM. I brought some of my team to see Mark and Jenn Paul this past weekend and I will be headed to Madison to see Billy and Peggy. Mark and Jenn were able to draw a picture of relationships for my new and newer fellas that really resonated and hit home. Relations are such a vital part of our business that I could talk about until I am blue in the face, but having the same words being said from a Team stage from people who you know are living the information and have earned the credibility was an incredible resource. Tell them thank you for us.

Denton, TX was incredible. A big thank you to the TEAM for the Men's Leadership on Friday. It was great to see such an example of integrity displayed by Ron Simmons, Phil Mette, and Dean Frey. On Saturday Dean and Teresa hit a home run. I've had the honor of hearing this couple on other occasions, but this one was tops. Hi Orrin,
Oh Man! As Don Freeze would say, "UNBELIEVABLE BABY!!!" In K-ZOO, Mark and Jen Paul were AWESOME! I've seen Mark in Men's Leadership, but not Jen before. She was great! She was absolutely professional, clear spoken, and wonderful to listen to. She did an awesome job relating to us, and explaining the cycle of achievement. Also, what a great relationship those two have! You can tell by the way they talk about each other! Mark...Wow! He absolutely was awesome! He told a story about learning to surf, and being ready to catch "the BIG wave" that coming, if you get his drift! Awesome! We are ready, no doubt about it! In the 2nd half, as Mark went on, the more he related to the audience, and the more riveted we were with his talk. He talked about the projects he and his dad did together after he was job optional, and it was incredible. One of my teammates was just overwhelmed and in tears with emotion! How cool to be touched by Mark's relating his positive experiences. I have an exponentially higher level of respect for Mark and Jen after last Saturday's event! Thanks Mark and Jen, you were terrific! This was one of the best seminars I’ve been to, bar none! God Bless the TEAM! Mike Decker Re: January Team Seminars

Good Evening,
We just attended the January Seminar in Madison, WI. Bill & Peggy Florence were wonderful. Talk about some people with wonderful hearts. The nugget that we received was on how important soft skills are. I truly agree if more people used their soft skills, this world would be a much better place. My husband and I joined TEAM in late July 2007, to say the least we entered at a very confusing time. With all the disruption in August, it did slow our enthusiasm. Our mentors are Ben & Beth Prescher and they have done a wonderful job keeping us up to date on all new info and keeping us going during what was a hard time. One of the things they kept saying was "just go to the major in Louisvile" "once you see Orrin and Chris you will believe in the system"! Although they kept saying it and we love them, we had serious doubts. We went to Louisville, and my mind set was "just because some guy is up on stage, doesn't mean I will trust him or the system" I thought it was all a bunch of hoop la! Until I went................ You can truly see your intention in your eyes and actions. We believe you are trying serve with the best of intentions!!! I am a very reserved person, but your history speech you had me yelling and jumping up and down! That in it self is amazing. I first would like to send a special recognition to Ben & Beth, they have been wonderful friends and mentors. They excel in sharing info and our wonderful at establishing relationships. We consider them and the rest of TEAM family. To you and Chris, Thank you for all your hard work, your beliefs and your leadership. May god bless you all. We are looking forward to seeing you in February both in Madison and St. Louis. Sincerely, Colleen & Randy Riese |
