Pastor Robert L. Dickie’s new book Living for Jesus ought to be required reading for all Christians.  It would be a great book for non-Christians also to help them understand the Biblical worldview. Pastor Dickie teaches lessons in this book that all need to hear.  Many people feel that faith and conviction have nothing to do with leadership, but I have been mentoring people for over a decade and their worldview is the number one factor in determining their success.  How you think, leads to how you act.  While you are learning to do the right things, you must also be learning the proper leadership worldview to think the right things.  Otherwise, no matter how big you build your team, the first big storm will knock you out of leadership. What I am saying is: A person’s worldview matters!  In my opinion, the Christian worldview explains the world the best as it really is, not as people want it to be.  Yes, there is a culture war and it begins with how you see the world, you worldview.

I am not trying to convince you to believe what I believe, but I am trying to convince you to know why you believe what you believe.  This book will help you understand clearly the Christian worldview.  The sad thing is that many Christians do not understand the implications of their beliefs as applied to the world.  This book is filled with applied Christianity and a must for any Christian who desires to live for Jesus.  My faith in Jesus Christ has allowed me to endure many heartaches and setbacks with a peace that passes understanding.  I have a faith that God’s Will is being done through His servants.  I cannot even fathom handling the leadership challenges without my faith.  Read the book and please share some of the key learning points for the rest of our reader audience.  Share it with your Christian friends and bless their lives also.  Have a blessed Sunday.  Orrin Woodward
