My majic moment for the week-end was experiencing Jim and Delores Martin's recognition for Policy Council. I love hearinng them both and look forward to seeing them in Madison on the 8th! They are a true inspiration to the TEAM. So well deserved. What an amazing couple to follow.

Also, Pastor Dickie's serman topic of repentance for the Service on Sunday was phenominal. I love hearing him speak. We were fortunate enough to be able to see him for our first Seminar in Madison over a year ago. George and Jill Guzzardo and Pastor Dickie all in one night. It doesn't get any better than that.

All in All - just an amazing week-end. Seeing you and all the TEAM solidified our committment to go to a million and beyond!

I must admit it was a fantastic weekend. There was so many great speakers that it is really hard to pick one or two speakers. I mean Laurie and Yourself are just amazing and Chris and Terry Brady both have their own way of getting very valuable information acrossed. One set of speakers that I thought was amazing was Jim and Dolores Martin. Their passion and heart just shows through whenever they speak. It is so hard to put to words exactly what you get out of the experience of being at a major. Well I must say thank you for the vision and strength you have put forth towards TEAM.

This was my first function ever, and I had the time of my life! I could not beleive the amount of people there are the quality of people there as well. I enjoyed learning about the personalitys. It gave me such a better understanding about myself and the people close to me. Delores Martin has so much passion and excitment. She made me want to be up there. I am SO excited about everything I learned from this weekend, and I couldnt wait to come to work today to put what I learned to use. I am so excited to read, learn more, develop myself and create other leaders! THANKS!!!!

A fantastic weekend!

Some highlights in no specific order:

Dr Rohm...Thank you Team leadership! To see my Teams just loving this guy and than coming up to me afterward and saying how right on he was and how happy they are that they can stop trying to remember the other 4 personality profiles they were struggling to fully grip
Chris Brady-Obstacles...need I say more? I hope thats on DVD! I'm sitting here at my desk looking at that little guy right now and what I would pay to paint him red and knock off his stinkin head! (I think Ill set a goal to do that)
Terry Brady-In tears and showing the heart of a wife...every guy in there wanted to give her a hug and say thank you...
Claude and Lana-WOW! They knocked it out of the park...I have seen them a few times before and always liked them...but this time WOW...Im not sure if it was them just rocking their speeches or if it was just what I needed to hear but...phew that was great
Pastor Dickie- *Big Smile* The things God uses Pastor Dickie to deliver to the Team is nothing short of a treasure everytime and to see on Sunday morning our leadership couples sitting in the front row (no binoculars from where I was sitting but trust me I noticed) Also, one of the great leaders we are working with has been telling me for months that when he goes to the Major Leadership Convention meeting Pastor Dickie would be AWESOME! Well, I was so happy to see him walking back up to his seat with his best friend with a signed copy of What the Bible Teaches about Worship :)

There was so much more...but some of the other highlights from where I was sitting:
Watching new people come back from the tool room glowing because they bought some exciting new information, including someone who fought through a negative husband to come "anyway" and than left with Finding the Hero in your Husband and Love and Respect (Im a High D but that still almost brings tears), having a niece bring her uncle an Obstacles bobble head to show just how much she respects him and what he is working to accomplish, Following to the dome on Friday night a woman who has battled with her boss and employer for over a year! (no exageration) to get to her first major leadership...and even on this one still fought to the last second as they tried to get her to stay and even forced her to stay past her shift on early Friday morning, watching my wife lead our group like the leading ladies we heard all weekend, seeing upline Eric and Jen Blomdahl on stage and rocking the dome (we were getting water when we heard his name..must've looked silly to watch everyone start running inside to see), watching "The old nail pounder and his beauty" on stage talking about No Family Left Behind (Thanks Tina Im sitting in my classroom now) and watching Bob glow as his beauty spoke...and soooo much more

Orrin...it is amazing to watch the leaders look up to you and all you do, gonna do some research today on Napolean and Russia :)

Oh cant forget Jim and Delores...got to follow them on the road a bit going home...cant wait to watch the Boar hunting video and cant wait to see them in Madison in a few weeks!

Claude & Lana are always awesome! Glad you liked them. They commented on the loyalty of their team: the reason their team is so loyal to them is because they live the principles they talked about, and you can tell just by chatting with either of them for a few minutes - as a result, we are all willing to go the distance for them.

My favourite part of the weekend: Saturday, running on 3 hours sleep (my wife says 2, but I think we got to bed earlier than that) but not feeling tired because of the adrenalin (sp?) rush. Jim & Delores are always awesome! My wife and I always hope they win something so we can see one of their fired-up speeches. Chris Brady meeting with seminar volunteers was awesome as well (not to mention the Obstacles bashing).

Everything was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed Chris Brady's talk about "Work Ethic" and how "idleness" and "busy-ness" are on opposite extremes. And that the proper balance of eliminating the extremes creates a good work ethic in our lives. That was a revelation to me, because I've found myself in both extremes in my life and it's freeing for me to see how it all fits into place.

Orrin: Good morning! I posted a lot of my thoughts under the "Leaders Overcome Obstacles" title, but I would add here that this MAJOR in ST. Louis gave me the complete "light bulb" moment of how we really are part of something bigger than ourselves. I have always felt part of a "community" at church - part of something bigger than just me and my life but not with the Impact that TEAM can have on North America, our world -

It became very apparent to me this weekend that through the TEAM and the leadership training and the postive encouraging uplifting environment of TEAM, we all are in a position to make a difference one life at a time -but many lifes simultaneously as well. The beauty of our system is not only the great information but that by duplication - hundreds of thousands of people can listen to an Orrin Woodward or Chris Brady or Pastor Dickie CD and get the same information at the same time - and pay it forward. Expoential impact!!

Thank you and the other Team leaders, as well as the people from the Team Office for making this event INCREDIBLE! Looking forward to June - and every day in between!

WOW! This was my first of many (God willing) functions. I could not beleive the amount of leaders in the room and the excitement everyone had about learning and bettering themselves! I love the personality info. It gave me a much better understanding on how to relate to the different personalitys and even gave me a better understanding of myself. Delores Martin had so much passon on stage. It made me want to be up there. What an amazing weekend!! Thanks to overyone involved, we will reach far more then a million!

What a great function in St. Louis! I enjoyed getting a chance to shake hands with you!

There were so many great speakers communicating important and timely leadership topics. There were 3 talks that really stood out in my mind as I reflect on the weekend. These are in no particular order, just my top 3.

1. Chris and Terri Brady - Friday night "Obstacale's Talk". Chris and Terri have such a great gift of communication. They can communicate such important subjects in ways that really relate to everyone listening. Most specific I really enjoyed Chris's main points about the "Internal and External" Ostacale's. It was an amazing talk!

2. Pastor Dickie - Pastor's talk on Saturday night was amazing! I have always respected Pastor Dickie and looked forward to his messages when I attend the majors, but this time his tone and swagger was different! You can really tell that he spent time in thought and in prayer to prepare a real significant talk! I loved his 6 qualities of passion. Specifically the quality of having the the right kind of anger. This point is going to be huge in my life! In other words instead of letting my passion boil over into the "unrelatable side", he taught me how to continue channeling my passion/anger along the lines of "effectiveness." Thanks Pastor Dickie for a great talk!

3. Orrin and Laurie Woodward - The talk you both gave on Saturday night was amazing! I did not hear your talk on Saturday afternoon because I was out serving, handing out programs. That was fun because I got to meet a ton of great Teammates and had some meaningful conversations!

Laurie is such a great lifter of others! What amazed me the most about her talk on Saturday night was all of the folks she edified on the TEAM. I have heard many speakers at other conferences edify other folks, but the way Laurie did it was so sincere. She was specific and had a story for everyone she thanked. I learned from her that when you compliment someone, be specific!

Orrin, your talk on Saturday night was a huge difference maker to me. The history lesson about Russian Army and Napolean's army was great! Your leadership principles discussed were amazing. Your vision, attitude, servanthood, and competence embolden's the entire TEAM! I kept thinking "I am so grateful to be a part of something like this." Thank you for your willingness to pay the price for growth. It amazes me that everytime I hear you speak the message is always different and meaningful. In other words, it is so evident that you continue to grow, and grow and grow, as a result your messages are always relevant with rich leadership nuggets. Thanks for raising the bar for all of us in our leadership development.

Finally, I want to thank the TEAM staff for organizing and putting together such a great event! I know it is not easy to organize an event this big, but because of the planning and servant attitude displayed by everyone the result was incredible!

Orrin, What a fantastic weekend. Seeing the growth in the expanding Policy Council and Round Council is very exciting. For my personal group, both of us :), I could see the excitment felt by all. In particular the education shared with us by Dr. Rohm was excellent. I have personally studied his D-I-S-C system for years and greatly benfitted from his teaching. To have Dr. Rohm teach us the same thing from stage was very enabling. One partner renewed his Directfulment and found info which explained his personal life in an understandable way. Please keep teaching, we are listening, and I believe we are going to 1 million, which will only be seen by the historians as only the beginning. Thanks again to all the speakers, each shared a nugget of truth and as my personal mentors J and J have shared with me many times these events are like a buffett dinner, a person will rarely eat every food item on the table, yet he/she will certainly savor the ones they do choose. We are not on the radar screen yet but here we come!

Dr Rohm had a great way of laying out the personality types, and Terri's commitment to marriage and family values made for a great talk as well.

GREAT Weekend....I battled a tough wife with a heart of gold that doesn't yet see the vision of the team to go to St. Louis. And although see didn't come I got some new tools and a renewed commitment to mend our relationship and get her to the next Major! I,m a very high D that shows no external emotion (really working on that) and I was brought to tears seeing Delores Martin's Daughter (please forgive me for not remembering the angles name) read that wonderful heartfelt declaration of love to her mother!! I have 3 daughters and if my wife would have seen that see would be pushing me, no draggig me toward team as fast as she could. That is why you don't want to miss anything. There is no telling when an incredible moment like that can change your life!

dear anon, I am really proud of you for getting to the major and that you see the need to work on your relationship and relating to your wife.
My husband was not on board with the Team for a long time. Until 2 things happened, I changed more and he was willing to look at the information. Now he is an amazing leader! In the middle i never thought he would come around, but my mentor kept telling me he would. Hang on to your mentor's belief, keep coming to everything you can and she'll come around. If i would have taken responsibility sooner I would have saved myself, him and my family a lot of pain early on. But things are awesome now and it's sooo fun to work together and see my husband becoming the man God wants him to be (in God's timing). There's a HUGE victory waiting for you. God always has a plan and I realize now that because of our rocky start, I am better equipped and more empathetic to help others in the same situation.

After reading the post regarding obstacles and St. Louis, I just had to comment.

St. Louis.....My husband and I were excited. This was to be our first major! I, unfortunately had to work, and so we agreed to send my husband. However, we had the obstacle of finances. We actually had no extra money for such a journey. Our awesome team (SWAT shout out!) got a bus together to take all to St. Louis. Perfect, that would save us a ton! We might be able to do this. My husband was a hound-dog. He sold stuff on e-bay, made an 8 hour trip to go pick of scrap steel and cash it in, we cut back for 2 weeks on incidental items - low and behold we had enough money for the trip! My daughter and I made cookies to take on the bus and my husband purchased a white shirt and some red ties from the Goodwill Store (if you knew my husband, the fact that he went and did this was amazing). Then, the flu swept through our house like the plague of locusts! There was no way anyone was going anywhere. We spent our time reading, listening to CDs, throwing up, sleeping, and praying and talking about all those in St. Louis having an awesome experience!

First of all, I'd like to thank the corp of volunteers and TEAM staff that planned and executed on a tremdous weekend! The traffic flow and tool room logistics were great.

Two of my favorite speakers are Billy and Peggy Florence. I was sad that some people had left by the time that they spoke. I'm with Peggy--history is not my forte (though I'm loving Centurion Principles), and her porcupine illustration was priceless. These two have such wisdom and grace! Billy encouraged us to take a look at our notes when we get home, and find one thing to implement. Seems simple, but he reminded us that it's easy to be fired up on the weekend, and forget what we've learned.

The overwhelming most impactful statement was from Pastor Dickie, to the effect that if I know that God is the only one looking and He won't tell on me, I won't change...ugh! Of course this was folllowed by Doug and Sheri's tremendous talk on Mentoring (it is obvious that they have not only been reading and listening, but being mentored as well--they have become excellent communicators on the stage :-)) and Claude and Lana's talk on developing leaders--Wow!

I could go on and on, but I'll just take Billy's advice and review my notes with a view to implementing what I"ve learned.

Orrin, I so appreciate your desire to get TRUTH to people in all areas of their lives. Thank you!!

I would have to agree that Jim and Dolores Martin had the best talk. I have heard Robert Rohm before, and his information is always very helpful, but you could really see the heart of the team through the Martins.

The true battle is in our heads. I am convinced through this weekend that if we mentally commit, earnestly commit, then there is nothing that can stop us! To a million and beyond!

Orrin – Where to begin? This was our 3rd major since joining TEAM last April. We’ve watched a lot of changes take place since then, and we are SO excited for the future!
There were MANY magic moments during the weekend, but for me these are just a few highlights:
1 – Dr. Rohm – hearing him could not have come at a better time. Our 12-year old son Craig came with us – he and I have been “battling”, and Dr. Rohm shed a bright light on why, with our personality differences. It gives me much-needed understanding and hope for a better relationship, not only with Craig, but also with my husband and our daughter, too.
2 – All of the speakers were phenomenal – but Terry Brady really struck me with her passion and soul-bearing; Delores Martin – can you say FIRED UP???? So inspiring!
3 – I mentioned before this was our son Craig’s 1st major – watching him light up and connect was worth the trip in itself. Saturday afternoon he was getting tired and wanted to leave early before the break to take a nap. I asked him to hang in there til we found out who the next speaker is – once we figured out that ORRIN was next, he leaned over and shouted above the crowd “NEVER MIND, I’M STAYING!!” What a witness to the fabulous leadership and influence of Orrin. We are deeply indebted to you Orrin, and all of the TEAM!

Thaks Orrin for all that you do and all the leadership of the Team. My favorite parts of the weekend were as follows: 1. meeting all the Policy Council Members, Round Table members, how hungry they are to change, and how eager they are to share with everyone. 2. Terry Bradys' powerful testimony of how we, as a Team, have to rise above the rest of the world and lead by example, edify my wife, show her love and respect, appriciate her for all that she does; Orrin, I really hope that Terrys speach makes it on CD because it was powerful for both husbands and wives to grow and change. 3. Pastor Dickies' awesome sermon on the Gospel message, offering Christ and standing on the power of Gods Word! It was delivered by the Power of the Holy Spirit that is inside of Pastor Dickie and he is a man of God. Thank you Pastor Dickie for your walk with Christ and being willing to share all your success and all your challenges. 4. I really was shown how much I need to grow. Truely I can't list all of the areas it would take to long, but I really need to change so much. The 1st thing that I need to change is that I need to learn how to keep my mouth closed, place myself under the authority of my mentor, edify them, learn from them, be accountable to them, and encourage the team for a common corporate goal, not my goal. To be part of a bigger picture, a bigger cause! Ive served in the United States Marine Corps, in combat, made it to the rank of Sergent E-5 and I am now learning that my goals in the past were more about me than others. I didn't want it to be that way, matter of fact if you asked me I would tell you that I always put others first, but the reality is that I was helping others to achieve my goals instead of making my goal to truely help others. Orrin I really hope this is making sense! I guess what I am saying is that I have been a truely selfish person and didn't even recognize this about myself and I'm 39 years old!! These are only a few things I learned about myself and the others I will share when I first help Eric and Lori S. hit Round Table, and then Philip and Paula L. hit Round Table, then when Becca and I hit Round Table we will share the rest with all of the leadership. Thank you for the stand you all have taken, the encouragement you all give each of us and hince fullfilling Gods Word found in Hebrews 10:24 " And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works"NKJV. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Magic moment....since that indicates ONE....I would have to say seeing Jim and Delores being recognized as new PC members....I witnessed this happen for several people over the years but I can honestly say they provided me with "A Picture" a picture of what will be for me and my family and thousands of others but for that moment I saw, felt, and heard me and my family. Her passion and conviction was all over her as well as her heart for serving others. Jim was phenomenal too, but I truly related to and felt Delores and the children.

As I was reviewing my notes lastnight there were so many nuggets but here are five of my favorites:

I know the struggles ya'll have endured and for us to see that recognition meant the world to both Cheri and I. This was our first Major and definately not our last.
Fridays Obstacles talk by Chris literally hit us between the eyes. We knew obstacles was working against us before we even left home, between my wife getting the weekend off, finding babysitters for our kids and finances. Finally that all came together and we thought "ha, the devil didn't get us this time". Then a blinding snowstorm hits on the drive down, I thought, here we go again, but we'll make it there. Finally on the way to the arena, our cell phones went out. I admit that I didn't handle that too well, then we talked about buying next major's ticket, but my wife decided not to because of uncertainty of getting the time off work. A few minutes later, her comes Chris with Obstacles. A few minutes into the talk, my wife looked at me and said, "Go get those tickets for Columbus" and I said, "Cell Phones". We both knew we had received an important nugget at a time when we needed it. We decided to not let anything impair our ability to learn what God meant for us to learn and believe me, there was alot to be learned from the speakers.

Woodwards/Bradys - Thank you for all you do for the Team and your heartfelt talks this weekend. The entire Team of speakers were excellent and gave us pleanty of things to work on in our lives and implement.

I am so excited and energized this morning that people at work are asking what's going on (suprising on 3 hours sleep). I can't wait to share the info and put it into motion.

Where do we begin? First, traveling 7+ hours longer than necessary from Pittsburgh PA at 40-45 mph through snow and freezing rain was an adventure in itself and glad to say that attitudes stayed high. Next, hearing you and Laurie and the rest of the leadership made the trip well worth it. I'm not sure if its possible for me to pick my favorite speaker as each brought something to the stage that I need to learn. I loved Chris' talk about obstacles and this was the first time I heard of "Obstacles" and laughed so hard at it. I hope that the "Obstacles" merchandise will be available online soon and I'll be recommending Team makes stickers and magnets of the little fellow also.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in Columbus OH in March and especially looking forward to your birthday ;-)

I have to say Delores Martin was my ah ha moment this weekend! Watching her passion and excitement on stage helped me to understand I can be me, working alongside my husband! I realized, I stopped sharing my passion and vision with our team and therefore gave up my strengths.At the same time I was pushing my husband to grow more in these areas which are his future strengths . Talk about frustrating for both of us! I was thinking being a strong , up front lady wasn't the correct way to be.
That's why It was so awesome to see Delores be strong and not take anything away from Jim. Thanks Delores for showing us "Buffaflies" that we should be proud of who we are! Thank you for showing us how to edify and love our husbands and still share vision and passion to inspire people the way we know how. Jim must be very proud to have you for a wife!

What an amazing weekend. This was by far the most passionate and emotional Major I've attended. Everything was top shelf.

It's tough to pick favorites, but I guess if I have to...

Teri's talk on Saturday was fantastic. She always speaks from her heart, but there was just something about that talk. Awesome stuff. It was also evident in Chris' face when he came up.

The other I would say was Robert Dickie III's talk on Sunday. It was incredible to see that side of him and to know that we have someone of his caliber as CEO just makes the future that much brighter.

I'd better stop there or I'll go on all day. It was just incredible to be around the entire Team again. There is nowhere else I would rather be than in such an uplifting and edifying environment. Thank you Orrin so much for your example and character and to all the Team leaders.

Magic moment: when the wife of a couple being recognized as RT (I am so sorry for not writing her name down) gave her brief talk, but she only came out. She was obviously struggling internally with the joy, and some sadness.... She came out, thanked God, her mentors and her team, and then she stated how her husband could not be there because he was with his terminally ill father... she then said 1 more thing before walking off the stage-

"Do you realize that if you passed away today, you'd be replaced at work within days, but you'd be remembered and missed forever by your family... so why do we spend so much time at work....?"

You could have heard a pin drop before the show of support for her with a standing ovation..... to me that is what this is all about - family and improving our time here! I pray for her and all of us to make that difference and have that time back!

Orrin, we really enjoyed Dr. Robert Rohm, but the recognition of the new Round Table, and Policy Council members was fantastic. Terry is one of the best, if not the best on TEAM, teaching through stories. Orrin, you have given me a greater respect for history, yesterdays history relating to todays current events. But, by far the greatest part of the weekend was associating with the greatest people, TEAM. TEAM has purpose. People wanting to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. People wanting to improve and grow in all or any area of life, that is an uncommon person. I Love association with uncommon people, I'm so proud to be part of TEAM! Thank you Orrin, Chris, Dean and the rest of the PC's

I just walked in the door from our 15 hour return drive from St. Louis to the balmy gulf coast of Texas. The word tired does not do justice. I have to take a moment to thank my wife, Tina from Texas for being an absolute trooper.

I had made the decision a couple of months ago to try to go to this major as cheaply as possible. We drove with my wingman Jose, split the gas, split a room. The plan was right on track until my wife got loose in the tool room, unsupervised. :) I will not even complain about that.

From the beginning of this journey, my wife has not been the most supportive. I had to hear things like, "I am just not a reader." I have tried not to be pushy. To watch her come alive this weekend was just an amazing blessing. We got to spend some really good quality time with others on our team this weekend, and to see my shy quiet wife taken in as "one of the gang" by the ladies on our team was awesome.

I have read and agree with the observations of my fellow bloggers about great moments from the convention. I will have to add to the growing list.
I have always enjoyed George Guzzardo and his teaching style. I must say that to witness the transformation of that man was nothing short of amazing.
My shy, quiet, little wife lauched to her feet, screaming at the top of her lungs, clapping and cheering.... I don't know if I could take anymore.
My skull feels like it has been stretched a couple of inches.

On Saturday morning we decided to eat breakfast at the hotel across the street. Our table was next to the ramp that sloped down and turned to the exit. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Chris and Terri Brady walking down the ramp. I am split evenly between D and C, but as I saw them approach, I did my very best Dr. Rohm blazing "I" impersonation. I flew to my feet, dancing around, and said, "Excuse me Mr. Brady?"

Chris and Terri both looked over their shoulders and Chris gave the ole" howdy, handwave, turn the corner to split because it is not humanly possible to chat with 20 plus thousand members of the Team".....

I kind of blurted out, "I am Ian from Texas".
I felt like a complete dweeb.
Chris stopped, turned, and said " You are one of the 3 bloggers on my blog?" (Kind of a running joke.)
I stuck my hand out and shook Chris' hand. I told him I appreciated the forum...yada yada, and was currently working on building the numbers to 10 bloggers. Heh. (Mr. Comedian...yep.. in my own mind)
Chris and Terri were both very gracious. That was a nice thing for him to do.
I guess I wanted him to know that I am a real person. I don't know how to explain it. I am not just super nerd blogger guy, eating cheetos and typing blogs. I had a very busy life, way to busy, before I found out about team, and it is hard to express the thanks I feel for the transformations happening in myself, my wife and family, in relationships we have with people.....I think the regulars on this blog know what I mean. I see the vision 20/20.

My team mate Jose didn't want to attend the church service. I will leave out the details since I don't have his permission. Somehow during the course of the weekend, he changed his mind. For the first time in 37 years, Jose went, and sat next to me, and sang like a bird. (Sorry Jose, I heard you)
He started reading "A Purpose Driven Life". That's all I have to say about that....for now.

I caught Dean Fry as I was leaving the dome this afternoon. He was right by the exit. I thanked him again for doing a Men's Leadership in Dallas/Irving, Tx.
I told him I was Ian from Texas. He just gave me a funny look. I don't know if he had read the blog from the other day or not. In case you didn't notice, Dean is not 6 feet 6 inches tall. Anyway....Phil or Phill (wonder if it is the same one who posted a comment here.....made Round Table and was recognized this weekend. He was also reponsible for putting the Men's Leadership on in Dallas. He also was one of the speakers and really did a fantastic job. He went out of his way to make us out of towners feel at home. (Dean told me they were planning on having another Men's Leadership!!)
I don't know if my heart can continue to take all of this.

One last thing, and I will stop this delirious rambling. OK, 2 things.

Before the service started on Sunday Morning, Jose said, "Come with me."
I followed him to the sound board and he acted like he was going to make an announcement..."Matt Franks and the rest of the bloggers, please meet Ian from Texas at the sound board!!!"
It was really funny, I guess you had to be there.

Then we walked up to the stage. Right in front of the podium. Jose was checking out where the Policy Council members are seated.
I put my back to the stage. I looked out at all the people. I told myself to get used to the view from here. One of these days....
I have such a long way to go, but the journey has started.

Final thing. When we arrived home a few minutes ago, we started unloading our stuff. A book fell out on the floor of the truck. I said, "OK, whose book is this?'"
Jose was across the truck standing in the other door. He said, "I bought it, but your wife is going to read it."
I turned the book over.
"Finding the Hero in Your Husband"

Wow!!!!!!! There is no way to single out one talk from another. That was truly an experience that everyone should witness. A life time of lessons crammed into one incredible weekend. we will be riding this high for a long time. Thanks to all of the speakers for speaking from their hearts. Wow! Where do I begin to tell you the joy and encouragement we feel from getting into TEAM! This was our first Major and "Obstacles" was like looking at the "Arch" We couldn't go through, over, or around but with prayer and careful thought we found a way. Our family discouraged us, friends begged us, medical conditions discouraged us, others in the TEAM confused us but in the end my wife and I made it and it was the best decision we have ever made. The people we met "Rick and Wendy", "John" and our TEAM mates thanks for being there when we needed you most. The greatest thing that we saw was not what we got from ST Louis but what we saw as we traveled home. In the airport and on the plane we saw people ACTUALLY putting their tools to work! Everywhere you looked people were reading the books from the "Tool Room". People were happy and laughing and having a good time. I watched in awe as a young woman from TEAM showed a person on the plane how to save a picture she had taken from the Arch onto his cell phone and then e-mail it to a friend! THIS IS WHAT TEAM IS ALL ABOUT!!!!!! We are going to change the world by being an example to those around us one person at a time. I came to this weekend with the expectation of learning more about the "Future of the Internet." instead I found something far greater. The future of my team and indeed my own future. I have been to many leadership conferences in the past, it was at this one where I realized for the first time that I am in control of the future of myself and my team. With the proper application, and that is the operative idea here, of the leadership principles expressed in St Louis this past weekend, and with God's guidance I can move myself and influence my team toward a better future. The "Future of the Internet," well, that will happen but only if we prepare ourselves and take hold of opportunity when it comes. People shape the future. Thank you Orrin and Chris for your leadership and inspiration and thanks to all the speakers and volunteers who made this weekend possible.

My wife and I had the privilage of attending the St.Louis Leadership convention, as we have in the past year. After this weekend convention we have a totally different outlook on our future. I find it extremely difficult to explain the feeling we left with on Sunday. It almost feels like our hearts are ready to explode. We are so in love with and proud of the Team leadership. We are 100% behind the Team and eagerly willing to follow them to 1 MILLION PEOPLE strong.

Every time I here Orrin speak I am more amazed and impressed with his KNOWLEDGE and CHARACTER. I just hope I can be half the man and leader he is. When Orrin speaks I realize I have so much more to learn. I struggle to see myself as a leader at present, however the more I associate with Team, the more I want to grow my leadership skills. I am tired of sitting on the sidelines of life, and have made the decision to grab the ball with both hands and run for all I can.

This is my second TEAM major. One of the highlights was having a chance to talk with you in the Book Signing session on Saturday.
I also enjoyed seeing people I came with, seeing the big picture for the 1st time. Myself being a 40%-I, 30%-C, 30%-S personality. I'm already FIRED UP!
I do, one day look forward to being recognized on stage, but what I really look forward to is the lives that haven't yet seen the TEAM business, and their lives forever being changed. Besides all the talks that hit me hard. The hardest impact was made when the resounding message, "Lead with you heart" was said.
That absolutely floored me. When I extend this business to others, I always lead with my heart. "The Art side." With the awesome leaders I have grown through, Roger & Laura, Chris & Danae, I have already received some of the best mentoring you can ever get . To now receive your wisdom and the rest of the TEAM's influence, I am proud to go forward shoulder to shoulder in this battle. We will pack out the Edward Jones Dome! I asked someone that worked there, with every seat filled as well as the floor being completely filled minus the stage, it would hold over 100k of us. That will be awesome.

This is my first time on this blog. "My magic moment" of the weekend was the moment when Terri and Chris spoke about husband and wife relationships. I am not used to showing my emotions in the TEAM's conferences. However, my wife, Kathy, who sat besides me, remarked that my eyes were full of tears. We NEVER hear this kind of message in today's world. Thank you to Terri and Chris for bringing this subject on the stage.

Being french coming from Québec, Canada, and my wife still having some struggles with the English language (although she's improving at a rapid rate!) we would really like if this speach was recorded on the packs of cd's that will be delivered soon about this National Leadership convention.

Congratulations to everybody who made it in spite of the transportation troubles! "Obstaclés" might slow us sometimes, but it will not stop us guys!!

The way that Cloude just came right out and told you how different areas to look at if your growing or not growing will determine if you are pluged into and great team or if you are changing and growing to become a leader. so what I got was if you cant sustain a 2nd team than you need to stop fooling your self and grow in the areas your weak in. I had too many moments to recall! I am in awe of how much you and the Team Leadership prepare for us during one of these. Dr. Rohm was amazing. Learning the personalities from our other human behavior model changed my persepctive on people. Phlegmatic or "S" people used to drive me insane. I now understand and appreciate them. This model will take it to the next level. Seeing that when Team introduces a change, it is done with such clarity, excellence and promotion from the head down. We welcome the change and embrace what it will accomplish in our lives. Thank you for bringing him.
Our history lessons were astounding.....I love the way Laurie named the characteristics of the leading ladies....the most important part I gleaned from that was in the naming, she also numbered just how many we have and indicted just how strong we are as Team. For ANYONE that was taking notes......it was very impressive in that we haven't lost ground. I am not only falling in love with history but learning Team code!!
When Terri spoke from her heart about husbands wives, and Chris followed, I was moved with emotions. I have a personal vendetta against divorce. When she stated if we reached millions of people and the divorce rate was still 50% we have failed. America needs more of these conversations. Team is much more than having fun and making money. That is why I became an IBO. I stayed because I want to make a difference.

Seeing how our servant leaders also witnessed transportation issues, lost luggage, etc. and still presented us with their best was such an example. OBSTACLES has no power!!

Thank you most importantly for what you have done for us in these past 6 mos. The number of RTM's and PC's proved we are moving forward and is such a reachable goal. Freedom isn't free, but is sure is sweet!!

With all the exciting things that happened over the weekend it's hard to narrow down what meant the most. Dr Rohm helped me understand Personality Plus 10x better. The passion the new PC and RT people had, esp. Jim and Delores, i can't see how we can't hit 1 million in the VERY near future. Thanks to Chris i had to buy Obstacles and every time we hit a new level I'm going to break the head off and write the date on it to help keep me focused on what's ahead and someday having my son who is now 5 breaking the big Obstacles on stage when we hit PC. I also want to thank Orrin and Chris and all the other leaders who stuck out their necks and risked losing everything so that us little guys can once again begin dreaming and actually knowing that we CAN accomplish whatever we set our minds to. My magic moment when I realized two things.
One when Orrin said Never fall short from right or the right thing regardless of cost.
Two, I realized that if I have to hide my personal life from my business life, where on earth would I even think I should have the privalige to grace a Team stage and affect a million plus people as a leader.

On Friday and Saturday our upline called my husband and I and just held the phone up in the Dome so we can hear Orin and Chris and all the applause and laughter! That was amazing! That someone would do that for us! He is even bringing us back an "Obstacles" bobble head!

I enjoyed every speaker immensely, but there was one single point that hit home to me harder than every other.

During recognition, a gentleman (Who's name I cannot remember, unfortunately) made a statement about having been a part of 2 teams. The first being the Air Force, and the second being TEAM: His first team defended this country from the outside, while the TEAM defends the country from the inside.

Being a USMC veteran myself, these words hit me hard, and reminded me of the Oath of Enlistment I took years ago:

"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same... So help me God."

The Time has come to eradicate the Domestic Enemies of this country!

I loved every second of the whole weekend in St. Louis. All of the speakers were fabulous! I especially liked when Chis & Terri spoke. Chris is so entertaining while delivering a powerful message. My magic moment was definantely when Jim and Delores Martin were recognized as new Policy Council members. I just want to thank you for letting us all have the opportunity to be a part of their victory. When we joined Q/A four and a half years ago, we attended a big convention in a different leadership orginization. I didn't like averything about the event except one thing, I saw a couple with six kids reach a high level and be recognized. To see that family come together for one common cause and be together on the stage touched me and lit the fire within me and has kept me going for these many years. Watching Jim and Delores and their beautiful children relit that fire and my dream. I want to thank you for giving me my dream back.

hey! I have to admit that conference was something else. It was my first one as I have been with the team about 3 months now. I am looking forward to going all the way with the team and creating a better tomorrow for my kids as well as a lot of other ones who don't even know they need a better tomorrow. Unfortunately, I was not able to meet either you or Chris but I did glean a lot of information from your talks. My melancholy side still is asking the question of where the money comes from....the leadership materials or the products.

I suppose the answer is a resounding yes. :-)

If a change in attitude creates a new you that performs better at work and gets a well deserved raise, it comes from the system. If nobody ever received a penny from TEAM and we all prospered greatly because of who we become, it would be from the product. The product in this case would be the improved individual that we will have become. If we were to become associated with a company who makes left handed hair dryers at a time when everyone on earth became left-handed, it would be that product.

The key is to focus on The Main Thing, leadership. Not the materials. Not the product(s). The result.

Rick, the longer your around the more you'll understand. I to share your personality so I can relate to your question? Let me share my story so you have alittle insight. My friend Wendy showed me the plan and I signed up for the product. I went to a meeting and had the opportunity to meet some of my up-line. I wanted them to know I was only in it for the product so I wasted no time telling them just that. Then I attended my first major in St. Louis last year my reason for attending was to have the oportunity to see the friend who signed me up. If I heard nothing else that weekend I heard each one reach one. This was something I could do (I took 3 people to the next major). After I signed up for the leadership program (system), I soon saw the light. The personal growth you experience will soon be your rewards, it will be priceless! TEAM beleives in delayed gratification so to should you! All you have to do is listen to cd's and read books. You will want to share this information with others and they will see the change in you and will want to be apart of whatever it is your doing. Get to the point you say, after you build your community the money comes from the materials. As you know leadership develpment is our product. I'm so proud of you for attend your first major I know it won't be your last. I have one question for you, what other opportunitys do you have going for you right now that you can't hang out, learn leadership, change the world and get your DREAMS tooooooo? I know if you hang out long enough, find a mentor to work with you will get your DREAMS! Hope this answers your questions if not get with the person that passed you the ticket and ASK questions. We say dream big and anything is possible. When you and Chris stepped on stage I wasn't in a football arena in St. Louis. I saw myself in a inauguration cermony in Washington. Goose bumps rose in the back of my neck as I witnessed the newly elected President and Vice Presedent of United States embracing the team victory. I'm not educated in politics but as a common man in a leadership devlopment training sytem I can recognize the values that need to represent our country. Other parties have come and gone .The Republicans and the Democrates been around for awhile. That Friday night I saw a movement known as the TEAM party. Fairytale? Maybe. Possibility?Definetly.
That was just the first 15 minutes. The whole weekend was amazing. Besides our children being born it was the best few days in our lives.
1. The oppurtuntiy to be in Sunday service with Pastor Dickie at the pulpit.
2. Witnessing the recognition of the new policy council and round table members.
3. Dr. Rohm was a pleasant treat
4. Who can forget Obtacales
5. All the speakers that weekend were on fire.
Again the whole weekend was extraordinary.
Complancency has many players but the TEAM of visionaries will lead them to victory

I loved the entire weekend! The Obstacles presentation was outstanding! It really helped me open my eyes to the obstacles, both big and small, that I have been letting get in my way as we work towards making the transition to Team and going to 1 million people and beyond. This was only our 2nd major with Team, but it definitely blew every other function we've ever been to in the past away! The overall atmosphere at this function, to me anyway, made the goal of reaching 1 million people seem to be a little on the low side...we will be going way beyond that number. I can't wait until June! See you in Columbus! Thanks for an awesome weekend!!!!

Hi, This was my first major. To say it was awesome would be an understatement. I was able to bring my husband who is not TEAM. He has been very negative, and I was afraid to tell him I had bought the tickets after hearing Orrin speak in Madison, WI. I finally told him and hey, he figured if he could make the trip into a tractor buying trip for him it wouldn't be so bad. So we did both, which meant we missed a lot. He did get bored with some of the awards and the following speaches. But he really liked Dr. Rohm, pastor Dickie and a few others (which is huge for him). The main thing for me was having my husband meet fellow TEAM members and to see what wonderful positive people they are. He actually listened to pastor Dickie "It's Biblical to Dream" CD on the way home!! I'm sure he has a lot to think about. He's not even close to being on TEAM, but I hope he's much closer to letting me do it. YAAAAAHOOOOOO

I'm so fortunate to have this information in my hand -- I'm still in college, so it's hard when you only make like 50 cents a week with all the college expenses and low income, yet I feel having this information will be such an advantage. Also, the quote you mentioned during one of your speeches is one that I'm going to keep with me -- "Life is a gift from God, but many people will return the gift unopened". It was a weekend full of MAGIC! For my wife and I it was my wifes sisters first major! She is awesome, in the last 6 months she has read 19 books, listen to well over 150 cds she is so hungry! Her husband is not on board but is supportive of her. We are here in Michigan & she is in Arizona. When we seen on our tickets that one of the next majors was in Arizona we were pumped!! She is so excited. The MAGIC moment was as she shared with me that she wanted to get her faith right.God is so good! This was after Pastor Dickie Sunday Service, what a great messenger he is of the gospel. This was a true highlight but there was so much more. To see all the new R.T. and P.C. members was great. Claude & Lana .....What can you say....over the top!! They had I think 7 R.T. members that is some depth building!!! Good for them!!

2. Beware of the leader who doesn't read.
Just 2 of pages of notes from Claude as well as all the other speakers. 1,000,000 PEOPLE!!!!! This just gets better and better!

The "Magic Moment" for me happened when we got home. To explain the circumstances just a little, I was not sure if my husband and I would be attending. My husband has not been supportive or positive (consistently, anyway) during our 2 year involvement with Team. He is a very high D personality, so he has been very vocal in his opinions. Don't get me wrong, I love and cherish my husband. I believe part of my responsibility as a wife is to respect him. "But"~ I was not going to conform to his way of negative thinking when, although given many opportunities, he has always chosen NOT to be involved with system. He ready literally 2 pages of one book, and listened to a very few audios. Usually at my insistence in the car. So, I, being a C personality, could not logically agree when he suddenly canceled our plans to attend for financial reasons. (I mentioned this on an earlier post.) I was battling over my responsibility as his wife and my conviction to attend. As it turns out, we agreed to attend. Blessing #1.

Saturday, while in the tool room looking at books, to my amazement, he agreed to purchase a book, especially for him! (Maxwells 101 series, "Attitude") When we got home Sunday night, I slid it across to him without saying a word. Half holding my breathe and my tongue from speaking, I waited. He picked it up, looked at it, and walked into the other room. Sitting down, he began to read. For the next 40 minutes, he read. And later, he told me about what he had read.Then he said, "You know, I learned a lot this weekend. In the past, I didn't because I really didn't want to be there. But this time, I was looking for something. I listened." Blessing #2.

This is a huge step for him. I am so proud of him! I am thankful for all the leaders who spoke from their hearts and bared their souls for the betterment of others. There were so many special things said and taught. Things I appreciated. But seeing my husband take a big first step in the right direction was definitely my "Magic Moment".

Blessing #3, We're already planning to attend the next Major, in Columbus, Ohio! (Where we're from, big smile) And I didn't even ask, mention or hint. It was all his choice.

I want to thank the men on the Team for being excellent examples for Duaine, and for the ladies for showing me how to support him.

I had a incrediable time it was all so great! I loved Jim & Delores' recognition. I have watched them grow and have been touched so many times from them that I wanted them to win! I thank everyone that sets the example that my Husband & I can win too! I really walked away thinking that if I get myself out of the way we can achieve all our dreams! I can't even begin to tell you the nuggets, I received in St. Louis, There are so many of them. I always love your history lessons and Terri talks. You guys are amazing. I would have to say the moment of magic, the attention grabber, the one that just made me proud to be a part of this amazing organization, would have to be the opening moments where Chris and Orrin showed self control and respect towards people having authority and yet no understanding of or ability to change what is currently happening. I would like to believe that everyone of my TEAM-mates would be able to carry ourselves the way that our leaders do. Your example of doing what is right at all costs is second to none. Everything that followed the first 15 minutes just added to the fact that we are on the right path. Celebrating others victories and empathizing with their personal struggles and losses has never been a part of my emotional practices until I joined this organization and these wonderful people. We can hardly wait for the next seminar in our area so that we can do it all over again.

I'd like to thank all the fellow members and guests of TEAM that showed up in St. Louis setting a great example of how people can treat each other.

Just an amazing weekend. Couldn't believe the number of people there. This organization is the strongest that it has ever been. Even through all the OBSTACLES that everyone had to face getting to St.Louis this weekend just goes to show that this organization is not going anywhere. It doesn't matter what will come our way, how some will try and squash our DREAMS we are going to a million people. My husband & I are part of Team Central which is in southern Manitoba and we were proud to see everyone from Canada there what commitment and loyalty. The highlight for me was seeing some Teammates that have been dormant for the last 6 months or so just come out of this weekend fired up and ready to run. WOW! How powerful is that? Thanks to Terry Brady for her talk on how to treat our men. There are no words to describe what that talk did for me. The man that I married is the most incredible. That is something I never want to lose. I loved the comment that was mentioned many time this weekend.
"If we as an organization do not lower the divorce rate in North America then we haven't done our jobs!" How powerful is that. Awesome weekend I'm sorry it's over. Cannot wait for Minneapolis. Bring It.

The best Major Leadership Yet. The Diagram that Chris Brady drew of the person the obstacle the dream . When he drew the person growing instead of the dream was pinnacle, that is the TEAM system at its best . I have a question on a quote "Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever " , Mahatma Gandhi . What is he saying by " Learn as if you were to live forever " Can it be only understood in a noncomplacent society ? Meaning people would be hungry to learn ? I think it would be understood more readily if it was written. "Live as if you know you will die tomorrow , Learn as if you know you don't know ". RK

The most powerful thing I learned this weekend came from you Orrin. "To truly defeat an enemy you must make him your friend." It takes a phenomenal person to put aside their wounds from an enemy and reach out to make them their friend. Thank you for your example. it will take a lot of prayer and learning but this is the area I know I need to work on the most.

The whole event was awesome! Different points keep popping into my head at different times and I will take Billy Florence's advice and keep going over my notes so the learning will continue.

Thank You for all you, Laurie and all of our leaders do. We are so blest to be following your examples.

So many great comments today. Just wanted to add that I felt a little like Mary when the angel told her that she would have a son, and she "pondered all these things in her heart." Being from St. Louis and having been in the Dome a few times, I cannot recall any event in its history in which it was filled to capacity, outside of a sporting event, except one: The Billy Graham Crusade. A point to ponder, indeed, especially when Orrin announced that we would fill this Dome in the next two years. What an awesome privilege and responsibility we have been given as TEAM!

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY AFTER READING ALL THE REPLIES EXCEPT..."DITTO". ANOTHER MAGIC MOMENT FOR ME WAS TO FINALLY TAKE A MUCH 'NEEDED' BREAK AND FINDING NO LINE AT THE LADIES RESTROOM...THANKS FOR A GREAT WEEKEND. LET'S ROLL!!!

Kathy and I gave our oldest daughter membership to TEAM almost a year ago for her 18th birthday. She was very insitant that she didn't want anything to do with it. But as time contiues to go by, she has had an open ear when I have a CD in and she sees what Kathy and I are doing. And when she learned we were going to St Louis, she asked to go. Presumably for the fun and excitement of going to ST Louis. So we did make a good trip of it, even with the ICE AND SNOW. We arrived a day and half early to meet new people and take in some touristy stuff (2 Museums, Catholic Brisilica, shopping and the Arch) My moment came when I looked over during the program and saw her reading the LLR very intensely. What a great moment... She continued reading it during our drive home and now has the book with her at GVSU. So just as the new Consumer Rebellion states - there is something for everyone, no matter what their asperations are... God Bless the TEAM... And like I have been saying, OPEN THE STORE GEORGE...

What an unbelievable major!! I was fortunate enough to be sitting really close to the stage on Saturday, and wow, what an experience. Early in the day, Terri Brady sat right in front of us. It was truly instructive when she took out her electronic notebook and started to take notes just like the new guy in the back.

Of course, Dr. Rohm was hilarious...and his movements and facial expressions are even more priceless up close.

George Guzardo was sooo passionate at the end of his talk that you could literally see a mist coming from his mouth. (I mean no disrespect there to George...I just want to illustrate his passion.)

And I too have to admit that I was tearing up when Delores Martin addressed her beautiful kids. Plus, both Deloras and Jim spoke with such an enthusiasm and force...it was compelling.

I could go on and on...of course you and Chris were fantastic...Pastor Dickie too...and many of the new PC members were excellent, but I want to make a different comment to end this response. When I returned from my hotel Saturday night around 3 a.m. (after meeting with some of my Teammates for pizza), I walked by a 14 year old boy reading the Love Languages book in the lobby. I can't tell you how rare that is in our society.

Lastly, on Sunday morning I watched several different Team members counsel newer Team members...and you would be very pleased with the duplication. The words, the tone, the advice was all very consistent and very positive.

Thanks to the entire Team and the top leaders...it was a terrific convention.

I didn't decide to go to this major untill about a week before. I got home and was explaining to my mother (who wasn't able to go) what I loved about this weekend. I was in the middle of explaining to her that this was the first major that I was brought to tears, when she brought up your blog. I went into explaining about what Dolores Martin was saying to her children on stage. How much she was edifying them. She was amazing, and like I said was brought to tears over this.

I would not have made it if I didnt have a leaders in my team that, like was said in a talk this past weekend, predictable. If it had not been for them I would not have been able to make it. This weekend, my vision out grew myself. It expanded way beyond me. I have come back fired up in a way that has more of a purpose than when I left to St. Louis. And for that I would like to thank the enitre TEAM and especially the speakers. I heard exactly what I needed to this weekend.

Dear Orrin,

Thank you to you and all of the other leaders and Team office staff for putting together what to me was the most memorable Leadership Convention yet.

I will start with my "magic moment". As good as all of the speakers were the one that really pinged me was our beloved CEO. When Bob started talking about being a man of your word and doing what you said you would do despite the obstacles, the inconvenience, the criticism, or the pain involved I leaned forward in my seat and locked onto him and his words with laser like intensity. He really spoke to my heart Orrin. He helped me refocus my vision on doing what I said I would do. If I tell my wife I will do something then I need to follow through. It seems that when it comes to our family it is easier to make excuses as to why we didn't do what we said we would do. Bob made me really think about making commitments to my mentors and to my team. If I say I will do it then I now must do it inspite of the obstacles. My mentor "Mike" came to me and told me that he was heavily leaning on me to help him reach a goal that his mentor "Mark" set for him for the next major in MNPLS. He wants to be able to fill his own bus for the major. Later Mark came to me to let me know about the goal and to let me know he too was relying on me to help Mike reach the goal. I am an "S" type personality so it is hard to say no to people you love and respect. So, after hearing Bob speak I knew that I had just hung myself by my tongue and must now keep my word and do all I can to make this goal a reality for Mike and our team.

It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person at the book signing, as fleeting as the moment was. I was the guy that handed you the blue bag with the letter and other small items in it. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on what I had to say, either way.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for accepting the mantle that God has laid on your shoulders. It is not an easy mantle by any means. It has cost you a lot in many areas and yet you continue to bear it for our Lord, your family, your country, and the Team. We love you and pray for you.

St. Louis was the beginning of a new era. I had so many emotions that hit me this last weekend and I will never forget it. Delores Martin put me to tears with her entire talk and to listen to what her children said. Thinking about it now still hits me deeply. Dr. Rohm's talks were outstanding and very helpful. I have learned so much from him.T hank you for bringing him in as a guest speaker. My biggest moment was when my husband and I were up in our coach/mentor's room getting some coaching. The difference I saw in my husband afterwards was unbelievable and I am so proud of him for making the changes he needed right away. All the talks were so wonderful. I place St. Louis in the top 2 Majors out of all the majors I have been too. I know TEAM will make a huge difference in the world. I am so glad you talk about history especially when I don't remember it from when I was younger. Thanks for the history lessons.

What an absolutely fantastic event! As so many others have pointed out, all of the speakers did an awesome job. In particular for me, George Guzzardo was on fire! To see and feel the passion that he spoke with literally sent chills up and down my spine! I am truly blessed to be working with others who are mentoring with George, there is no doubt that we are all in good hands! Another huge highlight for my wife and I was to be with our niece as she attended her first major. We have been so proud of the steps she has taken in her own leadership journey over the last 6 months or so and the major helped her to get a little more focus on her own bigger picture! Thanks again for all that you and the others are doing for us, we will not forget nor back down from any challenge!

My 17 year old son came to take part in the Leadership Convention. He came because He wanted to, not because I told him to. Saturday evening, after listening to Jim And Delores martin, We were talking and He said: Dad, I think I got it, It's not about the money, it's about making a difference. As my heart melted and fighting back tears, I said Son, You Got It! What an incredible moment I felt as a father.
THIS IS TEAM

There are hardly words to describe the impact the weekend had on me much less come up with the “Magic Moment”. The magic started Friday and as I write this still has not stopped.

This was my first Team major event and I was overwhelmed (positively) with the pace of the week-end, the dynamics of all of the speakers, and the message of each speaker as they passed on their knowledge in a way that can be used in our daily lives.

Dedication, Desire, Passion, Commitment, Vision, Determination, are just a few words that come to mind. It showed in everyone both on stag and off. The recognition of the new PC members and the RT members, WOW, to see the fire in their eyes and a true desire to help others was inspiring.

The underlying message that I would have to say will live with me forever is that in order to change it’s not all about “Me” but it has too start with me. My habits, My way of thinking, My relationships, and the rest will fall into place. You can achieve great things by first helping others.

Where can I start? This entire weekend was providential. It was interesting that the topic of the weekend was obstacles. We were one of the lucky ones whose flights were cancelled and had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our luggage and decided to drive.
There were many magical moments for us this weekend. One moment was Jim & Dolores' talk. We had a big goal for this major that we missed but Dolores really put it into prospective for us. We still have that big goal - we just changed the date:)
The most magical moment for us was a phone call that we received from one of our teammates at 7 am on Sunday morning. He told us that another person on our team had asked him after the meeting after the meeting about salvation. We have one more of our teammates joining us in Heaven! It is amazing what this leadership development organization can do and the many lives that we are impacting. This is what matters the most as we are reaching one house at a time. Thank you so much for your vision and the godly example that you model for all of us.

Thank You Thank You Thank You! What an amazing weekend! Each speaker did an amazing job and had so many great nuggets to share. Thank you for leading by example in your faith in God. I think almost every new round table member first gave credit to Jesus for enabling them to be where they are, and that speaks volumes to what the true heart-beat of team is! Thank-you for bringing Dr Rohm to speak. He really gave me a new passion for digging more into the four personalities in order to relate to people better. And the Martin's recognition wow! I love their passion and enthusiasum and there talk really convicted me about my need to grow in passion and let it radiate in all I do! What a weekend! There were so many great moments: Jim & Dolores, Obstacles, Claude & Lana, EVERYONE, every single minute! I appreciate so very much Holger & Lindsey coming to our hotel in the wee hours of Sunday morning to motivate us even more. What a special couple. Team Overdrive is on fire! What more can be said of Dr. Rohm? My sides are still sore from laughing so hard. We got to utilized what we learned as early as Sunday morning when we had to find a parking space in the infamous parking garage. We had luggage that needed to be transfered from one car to another later in the day. This could turn out to be a mighty task when you're around hundreds of cars, you have no idea where your friends parked, and their cell phone's on voice mail. So, we sat there for a brief moment discussing our friend, Mike's personality type (D). Would he would turn left, odd numbers or go straight ahead, even numbers? We all agreed, straight ahead, even numbers. We finally ended up on the 4th floor. At the break my husband, Jay & our friend, Lani met up with Mike and lo and behold, they were parked just four cars away! There's nothing like the providence of God and the blessings we are receiving from Him through TEAM. Thank you for your wisdom, courage and proving to us that we can be part of the solution. --- The entire weekend was my magic moment. All of the Leaders. Friends that became closer friends. Strangers who are now friends. Family. Honest, kind and caring people everywhere. Shiny Happy People :) The truly wonderful atmosphere. I can not pick just one moment so I pick them all.

I left St. Louis with an even greater determination to be a Leader for the RIGHT reasons. I left understanding that there is more to this Leadership than money, there is LIFE. I left with a hunger...

Every one of the speakers this weekend were amazing, but there were a few that really stood out for me. I have always loved Jim and Delores and am so extremely excited for their victory-they are a wonderful addition to policy council along with the other PC members who were recognized. Dr. Rohm was great! Thanks for having him there. I really loved Claude and Lana Hamilton's talk and can't wait for that CD! I look forward to seeing them in St. Louis in a couple weeks! Also, Terri Brady who has impacted my life in a way I can never put into words. I love her openess and her passion. She is truly an inspiration. I have so much to learn it can be overwhelming at times, but we are all connected to a group of people who love us no matter what. What an amazing environment! Walking back to the Dome after break Saturday a woman walking beside me turned to me and said " I am so glad to be here with you". She was from the Western side of Canada and I am from St. Louis, but we came together in one place under one roof because we know we have found something special that will change the world we live in. I saw a 14 year old young man walk up to Bill Lewis to get his picture taken with him and tell him how his talk affected him. How wonderful to be reaching that next generation! I have been part of Team for 5 years and I have never been as excited as I am now because I see the strength the Team has and continues to gain and I know we are an unstoppable force! Thank you Chris, Terri, Orrin, and Laurie! Each leadership convention is better than the last! I can hardly wait for the next one!

In addition to all the great things we learned this weekend I have to say a special thank you to Claude and Lana. We sat in the section next to one of their Canadian groups and you could just see how much they loved their leaders. They would not stop cheering. Neither did we. Their words spoke directly to us and we are so grateful they merged with TEAM. We saw Claude and Lana in Madison when they first came into TEAM and were so inspired by them then and now we look forward to every word from them. Thank you Orrin. I have attended several majors but this one was special in two ways for me. First, I received the privilege of spending time with Ed & Lynette Zentner Saturday night on the main floor. That really stretched the size of my dream.

Second, this was the first time at a seminar or major that I had the honor of serving the Team in the tool room. On the surface it may not seem like a big deal, but it really was for me. I can now empathize with how you felt not being able to serve. That alone was worth the nine hour drive from Michigan.

I came home with a new found tugging at my heart to serve. I can hear that still small voice saying ‘open the gift.’

This was my second Major for Team. With the system I can already see a huge impact in my life. I'm a very high I and at points wish I could make my friends understand whats going on inside of me and what this system can do. I guess I just have to keep growing to show them. The speakers were amazing but what impacted me the most was seeing all the new policy counsel members. It hit me that, thats what I want because of the impact I can have. I am only 20 but I set a goal to be PC by when I'm 25. I don't know much yet but I know by the power and grace of God I can make it. Set your dreams high guys, and rely on His power. Not yours. The sky is the limit.

Where to begin? The convention was just indescribable.

- Jim & Dolores Martin + their LTIT team gathering in front - that was some magic right there.
- George Guzzardo getting so totally fired up borderline unrelatable about the state of our society and our need to take responsibility and not leave it up to the chance/whims of others.
- Billy Florence getting deep on the dream of where the Team can be and just some examples of what we can do with a million-leader influence.
- Of course, Orrin & his talks of history that we all love so dearly! They are inspiring!!
- Chris Brady's demolition of 'Obstaclés' and talk of persevering against self-negativity.
- Pastor Dickie's sermon on Sunday: The presence of the Holy Spirit was DEFINITELY in that arena, and it touched my wife and myself greatly!
- Jim Minneo talking about his military "TEAM" and the dream "TEAM" he is on now!!
- 4 PC Members and 26 RT members recognized: WHOOOOO!

And last but not least - DR. ROBERT ROHM, and his insightful, fun and animated talk about personalities and how we can all "blend" them into success!!

Just wanted to let you know that the entire convention was tremendous. I personally had two magical moments. One was when you talked about not leaving any TEAM member behind. That gave me goosebumps because I had just talked to my wife Yin about the same exact thing. This just solidified my vision and you earned my outmost respect. The other magical moment took place when I had a chance to speak to Joe McGuirre. I can't believe how much a tremendous leader he is. He is so calm, straight to the point, and a very humble person. I realized that I WANT TO BE LIKE JOE!!! Orrin, you can count on my wife Yin and I to not leave any TEAM member behind.

One of my most memorable lines came from Orrin during a talk on Saturday. He was giving a history lesson about the French invading Russia and finally retreating. He said, quoting the Russians, "We have no food, we have no jobs...our pet's heads are falling off!" It had nothing to do with the lesson but it was a quote from the classic movie, Dumb and Dumber. A couple of us laughed for a long time about that.
In addition to the humor, the weekend was fantastic. Dr Rohm was an incredible addition to the Team's stellar leadership. And how about the recognition! 4 new PC members, fantastic! I loved Delores' point about "making the decision". It's only after the decision was made for the benefit of the greater team, not just themselves personally, that it happened for them.

Orrin, you struck precious GOLD when Bob Dickie III was introduced as the CEO on TEAM. That man (Giant of a Leader) communicates hope and challenge coupled with self examination and gut searching perspective like few are able to. The statement from the marathon organizer regarding Bob's participation "that was near irresponsible" coupled with the fulfillment of a commitment "I made a promise" was the most profound paradox. Thank you TEAM.
PS We were not able to make it to the MAJOR last weekend. Circumstances beyond our control not withstanding "It was TEAM's finest hour".
Smash OBSTACLES (THE BOBBLEHEAD BASH)

My husband and I agreed that Jim & Delores Martin's PC victory was the highlight of the conference for us! It painted such a clear picture we want to run for. It was so clearly a team victory as well and it was evident that they touched so many lives along the way as they served.
However, we also were very encouraged specifically by Bill Lewis and Claude Hamilton, and Terri Brady's talk about "if we reach 1 million people and the divorce rate is still 50%, we have not succeeded" was particulary motivating.
All in all, a fantastic weekend. Many new people that came with us are coming back this summer! Thank you to all of the leaders who spoke.

I hope this is an appropriate time for this. We all know the power of prayer! Ken, the father of two wonderful leading ladies we are blessed to be working with, (Amy and Jennifer), whom was in attendance in St. Louis this past weekend, was found Monday in his home, unresponsive, and it has been learned that he has some serious, possibly, life threatening health issues that have arisen. He is currently in critical condition in a Wisconsin hospital. I want you to know the courage that these women, along with their husbands have shown over the past two years with the TEAM leadership. They are wonderful Christian families who are making a huge difference in their communities. They've touched the hearts of so many people in the Eastern part of Wisconsin. I'm asking the TEAM Community to please keep Ken and his family in their prayers during these trying times. I also ask that everyone pray for the TEAM leadership as this courageous group of men and women move forward into the future and continue to touch the hearts of countless people who are in desperate need of hope. This past weekend was beyond anything that words could possibly say! I would like to personally thank all of the speakers for their courage and committment and all of the people behind the scenes for all of their hard work and dedication to make this event possible. WOW what a way to build leaders. The whole weekend was out of this world, but Chris Brady's talk on Obstacale's is on a personal level for me. We had some obstacles that would have put an end to our trip to St. Louis. The outstanding leaders in our up line decided to charter a bus to help get us there. We had a 23 hour non-stop round trip bus ride. It was great getting to know our team better. While my husband was in the tool room he picked up an Obstacales bobble head and shirt for my 8 year old granddaughter. She took her bobble head and shirt to school today for show and tell. She told the class that obstacles are things that keep you from reaching your goals. After she had her time sharing with her class her 3rd grade teacher came up to me and told me that she had never seen a child so young that had such a grasp on goals and how to over come them. I told her teacher that the leadership training we were getting through Team was rubbing off on her. My granddaughter loves her bobble head and has a better understanding of how to overcome the things in her life that may drag her down. Thanks for a wonderful weekend, Utah

I just wanted to say Thank you to Team Leadership for this wonderful "lifestyle." Since we have been involved with the Team we have met some wonderful people and become friends with people we would probably have never met.

This weekend my husband and I had the opportunity to share this TEAM Leadership with our 13 year old daughter first hand. She has read many of the books, listens to CD's with us, but she has never stepped foot into the Leadership Arena before. We were able to see her response firsthand, (our daughter is the "C personality, formerly meloncholy) and we saw the enthusiasm and excitement in her. When we arrived back at the hotel Saturday night we talked about the event and helped her digest it all. Boy was that excitiing!! She was especially excited about George and Jill Guzzardo's enthusiasm.

I am so proud to be able to share this 'positive experience and lifestyle with her.'

My majic moment was Chris Brady Friday night when he did his Obstacales on stage and Dr Rohm personality test.

What a great weekend. We left Windsor Ont. Friday morn. @ 6:00am on a bus, stopped in Ypsilanti to pick-up other team members, and had the best time we have had with TEAM. The Sat. sessions were based on relationships, and as we were traveling the roads on Fri., the relationships that were being built was priceless. Talk about God being soverign over all things, and working on Gods timing, and not our own. Jim & Delores Martin what great passion, emotion, and desire to see it through. Claude & Lana Hamilton was awesome in their talk about mentors, & being mentored. Robert Dickie III, his talk brought the house to tears. Chris & Terri Brady, if you weren't in tears there, you need to pluck a nose hair. For me the best part was the association on the bus with my teammates on the way down to St. Louis and back. It was great to see 31 people on one bus, how it all came together by teammates pitching in and making it happen. All working towards a common goal. All tired at the end of the trip, but excited for the journey that lies ahead. It was a trip that my wife and I will never forget, and I am sure if you ask the others there, they more than likely would say the samething thing. Our special thanks goes to Orrin & Laurie, Chris & Terri. What great examples you are to everyone that is associated with TEAM. I cannot state strongly enough how my relationships have changed for the better because of you and the incredible system in place.

The best part of the weekend for me was Jim & Delores Martin joining the Policy Council. They were Leaders that I saw pick up the sword of Freedom and hit the front lines. I enjoyed the many great talks given. I also enjoyed watching teammates gain belief of a bright new future. GO TEAM!!!!! TO MILLIONS AND BEYOND!!! GOD BLESS!!! L.T.I.T!!!!!!

My magic moment were all the discussion on mentoring. I knew it was important, but felt alot of the time I didn't deserve the time to be mentored because I felt I wasn't the greatest fastest person other people seemed to be. I also wasn't really sure how you go about it, I would never want to intrude or break any sort of etiquette when it comes to that. Hearing on stage from the leaders helped clear alot of that up. I also have to mention seeing a single lady recognized for RT was so inspiring to me...I was starting to think it wasn't possible, and I sometimes felt like i was struggling to find where I fit with a bunch of couples. My brain was on overload from so much incredible info from the weekend. Laurie challenged me once again to get back to my 4-5 books I was reading a month. Thank you for that! Thank you for all you do Orrin and all the amazing leaders on the Team!

I posted this on Chris' blog, but it is so pertinent here, that I'll post here too.
It is very hard to pick a single thing out as the highlight of the weekend! The entire weekend itself was the highlight! But if I had to pick out some things to stand out, they would be this (in no particular order):

1. Obstacles. For some fun yet odd reason, for every Major I've been to (St. Louis being my 3rd), I've always had an extra day after the event ended before my flight home. With that, and the last major in Louisville, I had the chance to tour the Louisville Slugger museum. Going through there and their gift shop, you can bring home smaller models of their bats. I'm happy to say that I now have one of the 3 Obstacles heads sitting right next to the bat I'd use on him if he dares to pop up anywhere near me!

2. Dr. Rohm. That guy is an absolute riot! But he made a good point for me. With my being High C, I was actually thinking of paying off my parent's house! While it took a while for me to understand Personality Plus, it was very easy for me to understand Dr. Rohm's DISC. Thank you for inviting him.

3. Running into one Larry VanBuskirk in the Tool room. After seeing him for the first time in St. George, Larry reminded me of an astute university professor. And to top it off, his Most Valuable Education talk capped it when he said he was going to be our librarian. I learned so much from that talk, that I had to meet him, thank him, and explain why he's my "Professor".

4. George Guzzardo. Not enough can be said about the passion that man has. If the rest of this country were to have heard that talk (and as impassioned as he was in that talk, I wouldn't doubt if if they did!), they would be on their feet applauding just as we were.

5. Obstacles. A lot of people on my Team and other Teams from my area (California) were catching the brunt of the weather, with their flights being diverted, staying over night in other places, some staying the night in the airport, etc. As you mentioned, definite obstacles. As they turned their obstacles to their advantage, I did as well. I opted to take my chances and make the last flight from Phoenix to Omaha. I chose Omaha because the weather had cleared up there, and my parents were there. I hadn't seen them in a good year or so, so it turned out well that I was able to see family on my way to the Major. No better obstacle to turn into an advantage than that.

6. Growth. I have learned so much about myself and what I can do to grow more as a person and a leader this past weekend. If Louisville was the beginning, this topped that, and then some, and I eagerly look forward to other events.

7. The rekindlement of my passion for history and geography. I've always loved those two subjects in school, but never thought of it as something I could learn to live by (face it, who didn't want to be in a rock band in high school?!?). Now that we are realizing that "History Never Repeats", my hunger for it has started to grow again. To that point, the adage above should be restated "History Never Ends".

8. coming together as a Team, both with my Team, and all of us as a single TEAM. I got to meet a lot of people, a lot of new people, and got to spend time with my Team. As my Team is a long distance leg from another Team, the time we have together as a single unit is very few and far between (Majors). So to be there and grow and function as a single cohesive unit was probably the best highlight for me. I would say that we are growing more as a team, but even more as a family. With that camaraderie, we know that we can count on each other through no matter the problems or obstacles that face us. And that had to have been the warmest, fullest feeling I had felt. I know I would go to bat for this Team, or anyone on the Team, without hesitation.

As Van B. Hooper had once written, and was reused by Father Edward Flanagan in and at Boys Town, "He ain't heavy, Father, he's my brother."

P.S. I will never look at a copy of Leading the Consumer Rebellion or an early edition of the LLR the same again. For those in the know, the earlier editions has on the bottom of the spine of the book, a picture of Obstacles, while the entire book was published by Obstacles Press. In my beginnings with the Team, I was always wondering what this obstacles thing is! Now that I know, I can't help but look at it and laugh!

Just a fantastic event. Hit the ground runnin in Indiana, have 4 appointments this week and started a new book that seems to fit TEAM, Courageous Leadership by Bill Hybels Has anyone read it? Could be a book of the month ? also read a book last week called Dream Manager that book now defines what I do. Help people manage their DREAMS !! Thanks to the TEAM I feel like I can contribute to society again.

Wow, what an extraordinary weekend! What passion! I have been involved with TEAM about 6 months. My first Open, was the last Open. I had mentioned that to someone on the plane and they said to me "Boy, you've really got faith!" However, I've used it as time to read, listen and learn. I've been a little confused during this time, trying to figure out what was it I was supposed to sell, then in dawned on me, we are selling Leadership!

The magical moment of truth to me was when I realized I didn't want to return my gift unopened!! To realize I can change and it's up to me.

I'd like to share a story that I witnessed right before my eyes. During the break on Saturday many TEAM members got on a bus and went to get a bite to eat. On that bus was a fellow that worked at the Dome sweeping the floor. He stated he had been listening to the speakers and was truly moved by the "Happy People." He also mentioned that 3 people came up to him and gave him a hug saying thank you to him for cleaning up after us. First, he thought it strange for anyone to hug him in thanks for sweeping, secondly after the first couple hugged him, the third man hugged him so tight he thought he was being pick-pocketed!! Can you imagine? We all had a good laugh and asked if he still had his wallet, yes. Now that's influential!

It was unfortunate not to get to meet you or Laurie in person, but I do believe I was given one of the highest of compliments. As Laurie came on stage, my sister looked right at me and said "You remind me of her" (Laurie) I was thrilled. Big shoes to fill!

There were too many moments for me to just pick one that was "magic" for me. However, having said that, there was this talk you did on history that was awesome! You did two talks like it back in Louisville.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but for ME, those were emotional moments. I'd LOVE to see them on DVD -- in their entirety! This one from St Louis and those two from KY would make a killer "history lesson DVD" that would continue to inspire for years to come.

Everyone knows/will know the history and the context of the talks; everyone will understand the situation -- those are givens. But to actually feel your heart and sense your position as it was expressed in those talks would be too great of a thing to lose.

Please consider putting those on DVD. They might not be the most popular DVD that TEAM produces, but they'll be truly valuable to those of us who lived through it as well as those who come along afterwards and just want to understand what it was like.

Hi Orrin and Laurie

This is the first Major I have missed since joining the business. My magic moment was, of course the only thing I can comment on (since my husband called me to listen to it), our longtime friends and mentors, James and Karyn, being recognised as brand new Round Table members. James, like me, could not be there in St Louis, as he was at home with his terminally ill father. Karyn's speech made me cry..she gave a moving tribute to James....and made me so unbelievebly proud of them and to be able to share this amazing journey to one million people with them, Claude and Lana, and the rest of the TEAM. To me, this is what it is all about. To be able to spend the time with the people who matter most...and not worrying about the consequences....all because of a choice we made to do something different.

We are with you all the way....you are all truly amazing.

Obstacles!!! I know it was our theme, but I saw so many of my own obstacles in those silly little bobbles!

Claude and Lanna's talk also really hit home on leading others and stepping up to leadership.

It was an amazing weekend, and I cannot wait to gather again for June!!

This past weekends brilliance came in the form of movtivation and inspriation spelled out; every letter. The theme behind the event followed by the promotion of the theme and then the succession of speakers touching back on or piggybacking on eachothers talks was brilliance! Dr. Rohm's contribution of DISC- breaking down Personality Plus in layman's terms.....brilliance! When we promote to tell people of what they can experience through the TEAM system and association was personified this past weekend. The recognition, that had been missing, was great to see again. I noticed on breaks and just in passing people that they truely enjoyed themselves; on my team or not. This event proved that the TEAM system & association is real and that it does work.
I'm looking forward to the more this year has to provide. Even more so I'm thankful that I am apart of something real and through this I will leverage myself to be brilliant for others.

I loved hearing Terri Brady talk about how the day when she felt like she had accomplished nothing when Chris came in listing off all the things he had gotten done all day -- as a stay at home Mom of 5, I feel like that so often, and hearing it from her made me feel so much better about myself and my role.

The magical moment for me this last weekend was as my parents and brother and I were driving home from the almost 24 hours of amazing teaching that we received from the conference. It was on that 6 hour drive home that it clicked in my mind what my next goal was going to be. I decided to go Policy Council by the time I graduate College May 15th, 2010. You all believe in us so much, I am proud to say that I finally believe in myself enough to do this. It was thrilling to meet you at Madison, and I hope you remember me when we meet again on that date. And I am thrilled to be able to help so many others during this ride to a million people. This was the best major for me personally. It's my fifth since we joined and this time I pushed myself to be a full student. I have several Obstacles to push through and I will. I believe fully in your leadership, vision, integrity, and character. You've never lead us astray.

It was truly an amazing event. I hate to be so cliche and say that I must echo the sentiment of all that have shared....but truly, I couldn't agree more with all that has been mentioned. I will say this though, I don't think there was one person in that dome that did not feel the passion and conviction that the Martin's had about their own leadership journey. Hats off to all the leaders that shared and a special shout out for my own leadership mentors that got to grace the stage....Greg & Melinda Fister!!!! We love you guys! The Family!

What a fantastic weekend!! Everything was great! We, as well as some other people, couldn't make it in on time for the friday night session due to weather problems. We were wondering if Chris and Terri Brady's talk about "obstacles" as well as all the other great talks we missed friday night were going to come out on dvd?

Watching Jim and Delores Martin get recognized as new Policy Council.  But the real moment was when they introduced their family to us.  The things that Delores said to her children made my hair stand up on the back of my neck.  She has such passion and love that just oozes out with her words.  Watching their children speak about their parents, is every parents dream.  Congratulation to Jim and Delores.The other magic moment for me was when I met Laurie Woodward.  It took a lot of courage to go up to her and introduce myself (the dream was bigger than the fear).  She gave me a hug like she has known me for years.  The other thing that I could tell her was that she inspires me, which in turn is making a difference in my life.  On 2 other occasions, I had the chance to make eye contact with her and she just smiled and I just told myself that she remembered me.  She truely is a Leading Lady and I am looking forward to the day when I can sit and have a conversation with her.  Thanks for all you do Laurie for the woman on the Team, we really do appreciate it.

There was sooo many things that stuck with me...but I think the greatest thing from this weekend was Dr. Rohn! My husband and I were married back in October and it has been a struggle. He is high C..S personality and my daughter and I are high D...I personalities...so it's been quite a change for all of us. I feel that we needed to be able to laugh at each other again and realize that we don't do things to purposely irritate the other one, it's our personalities and that we can make changes on both parts if we choose to truly work on them. A couple of my favorite quotes from the weekend were from Peggy Florence when she said, "It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks...All that matters is what God knows!" Also when Doug Stroh said, "Life is an occasion...rise to it!"

Just a suggestion. Imagine a TEAM pack entitled PERSONALITIES. It includes one CD on Dr. Rohns Friday night presentation and one DVD on Saturdays presentation. Marry that with a copy of the Funbook. Then we take that and every other pack to our local school-board members and have them investigate implimenting the packs into thier classes. What am I thinking? You've probably already envisioned that!!!! Take care.

I attended this past major in St. Louis, and I found it very inspirational. I think that our organization is the greatest seed for potential in the entire country.

As a school teacher in the inner-city of Chicago, I visualize TEAM as a community where conservative and progressive minds alike can come together for the common good. I strongly believe that any great teaching organization is one that makes attempts towards diversity without compromising any basic values. This diversity helps to bridge gaps on a variety of levels: religion, learning style (audio, visual, kinesthetic), culture, etc.

Do you foresee the TEAM system successfully bridging the gaps so that we are able to nurture a diverse group of leaders?

I love how TEAM values the idea of loving people where they are. That kind of unconditional love combined with the emphasis of community building and freedom lends itself to social change and growth. Consequently, we would benefit from an increasing responsibility on the leaders’ end to support diverse audiences.

I totally agree that this weekend was one of the best leadership conventions of all time! My "Magic Moment" was definitely Jim and Dolores Martin's recognition...cried through the whole thing...starting with the kids! Being home with my baby is what drew me to the TEAM in the first place and I invisioned us up there on stage one day doing the same thing!! How awesome to have that much passion to overcome critics! That talk was just what I needed! I love the TEAM and what we represent...changing the country for the better one family at a time!

Thank you Orrin and all of the TEAM leadership. I still have SO much to learn, but I am committed to serving others and pray that I may have a positive impact on many, many peoples lives! Thank you for the inspiration and example that you give us!

I have to say that the Terri Brady provided my magic moment. It was like she was speaking directly to me. The story of the women from the book she quoted had me in tears. Society is very hard on women and I have unfortunately bought many of the lies I have been sold.

When I joined Team it was just me. My fiance, now my husband, was not even in the country. After about two years of building together, we had our first child. He is now almost two. I have had the great opportunity to say home with my son but my role in life changed. I was so amazed to hear that Terri wants to be able to do more. I feel just like her and I myself want to get a cannon and help! It was so great to know that I am doing the right thing for my family and business. It's okay that my role is different now. And it's okay that I feel frustrated.

Well, I have to say that I started out on Thursday (before the function) a nervous wreck! We are from Florida and the weather conditions for those of us that were driving worried me greatly and not to mention that I got either calls or texts to let me know that Jim Cantori was in St. Louis and we all know that he follows only the worst kind of weather. I went through my whole day wondering what to do but in the end we drove up there and we had a great time!
The whole conference was great - all the speakers had enormous amounts of great information and we love them all for it. Delorous Martins excitement level was "it" for me - WOW she was on fire and I loved that she brought her kids out. My kids are my focus so that really hit home for me!

I brought new people and introduced them to the team. One such person who had done accounting for several different "MLM"'s had told me to "run" when I first introduced the TEAM to him. He claimed all MLM's are scams. On sunday morning, after attending friday night and saturday, he told us that after tens of thousands of dollars in student loans, ( he graduated from Welch College 10 years ago), he learned things never taught in school. He told us "the world needs this". It was awesome---and he saw it. Thank-You TEAM!!

The most amazing moment for me at the major was when the Lord blessed me with one of the most amazing spiritual experiences of my life. The Lord helped me to see how far he has helped me come and how much farther I needed to go with his help. It was such an amazing spiritual experience that I felt as if I had left my body for that period of time. At that time my wonderful mentor, Crystal Christiansen, helped me through it all. I was so overwhelmed that I can not begin to explain how I felt at that time! Thank you for starting the team and your part of the LLR book.

I joined TEAM in April, 2007, and this was my 3rd and most exciting event yet! One of the best parts was on Friday night after the convention. My wife and I got back to the Adams Mark hotel, right as Tim and Amy Marks got out of their vehicle. The lobby was so crowded, that it was difficult to get to the elevators. Just after Tim and Amy started to make their way into the main lobby, with us close behind, some of the TEAM members near the door shouted "baby coming through." A path cleared, and Jackie Lewis was given quick access to the lobby with her new baby! It was very exciting to see all these TEAM Leaders at the hotel, just steps away from me.

Due to the delay in going up the elevator, I told my wife "I can find us a quicker way!" I took her just past the lobby, and noticed an open door that I figured would lead us to a service elevator. As I walked toward the open door, one of the employees of the hotel came out, and stated that we could use the service elevator. So, we quickly moved into the back service area and up to the elevator doors, anxiously awaiting a quick ride to our room. It was only moments later that a few other people joined us. My wife nudge me, and when I looked up, I realized it was YOU AND LAURIE and some of the other TEAM Leaders that walked into the service area.

The elevator door near us opened, and I escorted my wife towards the back. Then YOU and Laurie entered, with the other leaders of TEAM, heading up to the 14th floor. I remember the service employee had trouble getting his key to work, so Laurie was joking about us getting stuck in the elevator. For a brief moment, I imagined all the great teachings I could learn if that did happen - getting stuck on the elevator with TEAM'S top leaders on board!! ;-) It was at that time when you turned and saw me. You asked me how I was doing, and you shook my hand. All I could say was "great!" I now sit here and think of all the things I wish I said to you, but alas, they will have to wait until I can prove myself as a TEAM Leader. Maybe, in the distant (hopefully no so distant) future, I'll meet you again face to face, and you might remember shaking my hand on Friday night, February 22nd, in the service elevator of the Adams Mark Hotel. This was my first Major conference. What an event!!! I listen to many cd's and that's great but seeing the speakers in person brings the Team to another level for me. The Major was PHENOMENAL! I haven't laughed that hard in a very LONG time; I was fighting back the tears.

Personally: I am a single mother struggling with my preteen daughter. After hearing Dr. Rohm, everything MAKES sense. I am a High C and my daughter is a High I. I thought it was hormones and/or rebellion. Now I have an action plan to improve our communication. Light bulbs are coming on! I am waiting for the DVD to share with my daughter.
Motivating: I was getting a little dishearted when everyone coming out was a couple. It is great to have a significant other but when you are building a business as a single it is nice to know that there are others out there doing it also. This isn't as noticable at a Tuesday mtg or a Monthly Seminar. I want to thank Leanne (forgetting the last name, sorry) for being a single woman and motivating me at the right time.
Thankfully: I totally empathize with the women speakers (Laurie Woodward, Terri Brady, Amy Marks, and Delores Martin, dont remember all the names - sorry) When you cry, I cry. I am so happy to know your stories and be able to understand what I have to look forward to in the near future. While the men's leadership keep me focused and having fun doing it.
Thank you. I won't miss another Major - truly inspiring.

My favorite moment was hearing Claude Hamilton's talk about actions and intentions. That really opened my eyes to a broad perspective. It helped me realize I was being very judgemental towards people actions towards what their real intentions were. Thanks for a great and educational weekend. Being able to spend time with all of you guys really boosts the confidence in a person. Lets keep moving forward.
