Quixtar Legal Defense Update
I posted an update on the Quixtar Legal Defense Fund article. I do not receive a penny of support from the Legal Defense Fund and instead have attempted to give liberally to support others under attack. I support the fund to help anyone who is being threatened with litigation by Amway/Quixtar. I can and will support my own legal battles, but believe Quixtar should not threaten others that do not have the means to defend themselves. The Quixtar Legal Defense Fund supports all the people that Quixtar may choose to legally threaten and intimidate. I strongly believe right makes might and it would be a shame to have people back down from the truth because they do not have the means to defend themselves. This is why I posted the original article and am very proud of the response by so many people! Many people have sat out there six months and can now turn a new page in their life. If they are threatened by Amway/Quixtar they will have the security of knowing the Legal Defense Fund will be there for them! I never dreamed by signing people up as "independent" business people that they were placed in harms way and feel I am bound to help in anyway I can. I hope this helps in clarifying the purpose for my post on the Legal Defense Fund. God Bless, Orrin Woodward

Just a note to say thanks to you, Chris, Larry, Tim, Billy, Randy, Doug, Bill, George, Pastor Dickie and ALL of our leaders and Policy Council members for your service and unselfish actions, helping all of us to be better people. I feel God has led me to Team in answer to my prayers that I can make a difference in this Country, and the world. Thank you all for your service and leadership.

I am very concerned that anyone on Team would think that the legal defense fund would apply to our leaders. The reality is: Quicksand will go after the "little guy" to try to hurt our leadership. If anyone thinks "why would they care about me" they haven't read about the lack of character of their leadership. Your destruction would be collateral damage to ruining the tip of the spear.
As someone who is committed to the victory of truth, I would encourage everyone to commit a measly $10 a month to the Quixtar legal defense fund. Keep in mind that the power of compounding applies to the defeat of those whose only desire is to destroy our leadership, and they WILL take you out if they think it will bring about that end. TEAM means "Together Everyone Achieves More". Let's all make achieving the victory of truth our goal. And WHEN that happens, our influence for good will expand so far beyond economics we won't be able to believe how God has brought it about. Love You All, Scott Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

First let me thank you for all you do and the financial burden you've shouldered for all of us. We all know that the people who twisted your post to fit their needs are acting in a self centered manner. Your call for support was just that. I'm happy to unite and show my solidarity by sending a check. Just knowing this is helping others is reason enough. We all donated a fee to the IBOA board to represent us. That was the worse 9 dollars I ever spent. The people who had our best interests at heart were shown the door, and the corporate agenda was pursued. You have to love that servant attitude! I'm glad all of you made a stand and refused to be corporate boot lickers. I'll stand with principals and character any day That example alone is priceless! I'm challenging all who were duped by this misrepresentation of the current IBOA board to send at least the 9 dollars they would have wasted on a committee who didn't serve anyone but themselves. I'm sleeping better at night knowing my back is covered by people who will fight for what is right. It's like adding your name to the Declaration of Independence! Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

Here is a quote I have taped to my computer and I believe you, our awesome leaders, and all our Teammates are building stepping stones. I find it hard to believe the naysayers can't understand we are adults and are able to make our own decisions. I will be 62 this year and will go to my grave believing in you, Laurie, the Bradys, Marks, Guzzardos, Lewis, Stroh, Martins, McGuires, Kirchers, and many many more.
"Isn't it strange that Princes and Kings And clowns who caper in stardust rings, And common people like you and me Are builders for eternity? Each is given a set of tools, A shapless mass, and a book of rules, And each must make, ere life has flown, A stumbling block or a stepping stone. by R. L. Sharpe Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

Orrin: By contributing to the IBO Legal Defense Fund, I believe we send a united signal to the rest of the world saying very plainly " I HAVE YOUR BACK - WE STAND TOGETHER". If they want to play dirty or use less than honorable tactics, then we have to be prepared. We keep hearing about the ripple effect we have - one life touches another - and a simple $5.00 or $10 donation helps touch another life - in more than just one aspect.
Chris Brady had a great quote last night at Saginaw Seminar by Sir Sidney Smith - that I wish I wrote down - and hope someone will post:) - about doing something even if you think your small contribution won't really count. Here's an ending thought: Jesus Christ was ONE man, sent to save us from our sins, and he was just one man - who first touched one life, then another, and another - and now millions of lives have been changed because he was willing to die for us. One person's actions, one person's beliefs, one person's act of reaching out to another CAN and DOES make a difference. Grateful doesn't even begin to describe it! This is our cause, this is our purpose, and to contribute a little bit monetarily so other's might be taken care of, our own "comrades" - it is a worthy cause -and I'll keep giving until this battle is over!! i wasn't in saganaw so i didn't hear the talk but did search for quotes and found these. hope one is the one you wanted jonathan quotes by Smith, Sydney "It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can do only a little. Do what you can." "Married couples resemble a pair of scissors, often moving in opposite directions, yet punishing anyone who gets in between them." "It resembles a pair of shears, so joined that they cannot be separated, often moving in opposite directions, yet always punishing anyone who comes between them." "Manners are like the shadows of virtues, they are the momentary display of those qualities which our fellow creatures love and respect." "To love and be loved is the great happiness of existence." "Correspondences are like small clothes before the invention of suspenders; it is impossible to keep them up." "Have the courage to be ignorant of a great number of things, in order to avoid the calamity of being ignorant of everything." "A comfortable house is a great source of happiness. It ranks immediately after health and a good conscience." "Great men hallow a whole people, and lift up all who live in their time." "Avoid shame but do not seek glory --nothing so expensive as glory." "It is a bore, I admit, to be past seventy, for you are left for execution, and are daily expecting the death-warrant; but it is not anything very capital we quit. We are, at the close of life, only hurried away from stomach-aches, pains in the joints, from sleepless nights and unamusing days, from weakness, ugliness, and nervous tremors; but we shall all meet again in another planet, cured of all our defects." "Life is to be fortified by many friendships. To love and to be loved is the greatest happiness of existence." "It is always right that a man should be able to render a reason for the faith that is within him." "Oh, don't tell me of facts -- I never believe facts: you know Canning said nothing was so fallacious as facts, except figures." "What would life be without arithmetic, but a scene of horrors?" Thank you so very much to the Leadership of TEAM. We here in WI are supporting the legal defense fund. Orrin and Chris, we can see what great men you are, what visionaries, with such character. The more I learn of the TEAM system, and the more I learn from the Leadership program, the more I see what geniuses you are.
I am so grateful for what my family has found in TEAM, all I can say is God bless all of you. You have defined a "cause" for my sons and now lots of their friends, who are all building bigger teams. I have this image in my mind of these young men, marching shoulder to shoulder down this road, with determination and vision in their eyes. I described this image to my younger son, and he said, "Mom - that's the Centurions you're seeing." I must say, they "are" the cause. Living and breathing it - marching out in front. I can't think of a better place for them. Thank you so much Orrin & Chris - for being the teachers and leaders (and Centurions) that you are. Happy Birthday to both of you this month, and we hope many more will follow. Sue Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

Orrin,
My financial statement shows that the Quixtar Legal Defense Fund has received my first monthly contribution. I am saying this not in any way to boast, but to let others know that in giving my monthly contribution I am constantly praying that God will multiply my small effort even to a million fold to overcome the tyranny (I don't think that that is too strong of a word) of a corporation which tries to dominate people who were signed up as "independent" business owners by good people such as yourself who in good faith had only the well being of those who were sponsored in mind. As has been often stated before, right makes might. Let all who are on the Lord's side stand with the cause of right. DaveC Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

Orrin,
I would like to share with you a daily devotional that I receive via e-mail. I thought it would kind fit nicely here. When God Puts You On Hold "Wait for the Lord; Be Strong..." PSALM 27:14 NRS If you're a seasoned air traveler, chances are you're familiar with the term "holding pattern." That's when your plane is unable to land because of unfavorable ground conditions. Generally the pilot announces that he's been told to maintain a holding pattern pending an update from the control tower. It happens regularly, so planes have to carry enough fuel to stay airborne till they can land safely. The Bible says, "Wait for the Lord; be strong...let your heart take courage." When God puts you in a holding pattern it's not just a question of having enough faith to receive His promise, it's also a matter of having enough "spiritual staying power" to stay airborne until it comes to pass. That's why you need to carry enough spiritual fuel to handle delays and wait for clearance. The Bible refers to the Holy Spirit, "a rushing mighty wind" (Acts 2:2). After God had delayed Noah long enough to accomplish His purpose, "He sent a wind" (Ge 8:1 NIV). Anytime a wind comes from the presence of God it blows away all hindrances and obstacles, it dries the ground under your feet so you can move ahead. It demolishes the spirit of fear and heaviness that makes you want to quit. David asked God, "What is man that you are mindful of him?" (Ps 8:4 NIV). Even in times of frustration and waiting, God is still thinking about you and working everything out for your good. His delays aren't denials. So, when you sense a divine breeze in your spirit, rejoice, it's a sign that He's clearing you to land and good things are about to happen! WHAT THE DEVIL MEANT FOR EVIL GOD WILL USE FOR HIS GLORY!! ONWARDS TO 1 MILLION AND BEYOND!! Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

Orrin,
From some of the little guys out there to the folks that are contributing to this. Some guys like me that need to be able to get down to the business of moving on are being opressed by Q legal whether it be that leaders have been unable to take action to secure thier future or that people like me just can't get information and have no idea when I will be able to move forward with certainty. I am personally contributing in hope that we can end this opression and have a defense. My opinion is that Q legal needs to lose some legal battles with some of the little guys that just want to be able to do something to make money and have a future. The folks who have filed suit against Quixtar risk becoming targets of Q legal even when they have cleared thier obligations. They can drag anyone they want to into court for any reason. Something needs to be done or won that will discourage them from coming after poeple who just want to move on and turn the next page in thier lives. I am excited about the future and where we will all be able to go together when we are able. No one should ever be able to stop free people in a free country from making a living at thier chosen profession by using legal tactics to suppress free competition. If I don't like doing business with one company or if the company changes the deal, then I should be able to work freely with another one of my choosing. If I were to quit a sales job, then I could go to work for thier competitor if I chose. I could even legally hire a former coworker if I wanted. But you can't leave Quixtar without being legally opressed. With the upcoming changes it would have been just as well just shut the whole opportunity down.....yet they say "you are still our property" I'm just glad that someone is doing something about it, because I'm not sure that I can do anything else but contribute to the legal defense fund. I would be happy to file a case against them, but I'm not sure I can afford to do that. Thanks, Dave Re: Re: Quixtar Legal Defense Update

Orrin, I just want to say that I have faith in you and all the leaders on the team. Sometimes it is very difficult not to get caught up in the he said she said stuff out there, and every time I verbally defend an accusation against you, you always say the very same thing that I have assumed about your character and leadership.
Something one of my high school teachers taught us in a careers class was that "when interviewing for a job, one should never try to downplay or disparage the others competing for the job, only up sell yourself and your abilities that you feel make you qualified for the position." He went on to explain that most employers will not hire someone who does disparage or downplay the competition. You my friend stick to that advice very well and I just wish that certain political leaders running for public office would do such a good job following that principle as you do. Orrin,
I've been holding back for six months now! I had no intention of even wasting a breath regarding the actions of "Communist Alticor/Amway". I want to make one point that is so telling regarding the opposition. I, under my own power, chose to end my affiliation with "them". After doing so, "they" chose not to pay out monetary compensation that my wife and I had earned while affiliated with them. They sit and point fingers at others when all they need do is look in the mirror at themselves! The point is, why would anyone want to be a part of anything like that??!!! I didn't spend my hard earned money and precious time to get cheated. I only need to "get burned by that flame" once for me to learn my lesson. As the elite TEAM leadership has instilled in me, I will not cast judgement on others. I will learn from those mistakes and move on. However, they will be judged in the end by God. I commend you for taking a stand against tyranny! Your personal sacrifices for the people that were in bondage and are currently in bondage will not be forgotten. There is a massive community who is indebted to you and will make it known what you stand for. We have your back! As you can tell, I've learned to be tactful with my words! Something I had no clue how to do until the TEAM leadership program came into my life. I've been able to make progress in my life that if far beyond finances. I've been truly blessed....... Thank you. I'm eternally grateful for being blessed with your example to follow. ~ Gary S. Philippians 1:3 |
