Orrin,
I heard my favorite quote first from an Orrin Woodward tape that I wore out listening to. It says, "People of integrity expect to be believed; and when they're not, they let time prove them right." From the book titled, "The Slight Edge", I learned that time will either promote you or reveal you. Either way, as the saying goes, "time will tell." The Master said, "by their fruits ye shall know them." Thanks for leading with courage and conviction and doing what many wish they would've or could've done, but may have lacked the courage or leadership to do so. By the way, where has Dexter Yager been? I know that he was one of your early mentors. "If the dream is big enough, the facts don't count!" I know there are many hiding in the bushes waiting to see what happens with the team. When they see the experiment working, without a doubt, others will gain the courage to escape, and immagrate to the new "promised land. On to a million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freeman Re: Dexter Yager Quote

Talk about saying so much and yet saying very little. It is always better to take the high road, no matter how sharp the arrows being sent your way. It's hard- human nature makes us want to retaliate in kind - but in the long way, it's much better to take the high road. To let our actions speak volumes about the person we really are. Thanks Orrin.

About a year & 1/2 ago, I received an email soliciting me for some "Best of Dexter" materials (CD's, books, etc.). I chuckled while deleting the email. I deleted it because it was clear that "change" was already in the air and it appeared to me that, as regards certain previous leadership sources, "the best was over & the
Hindsight has proven the point, which needs no belaboring. And the best I can say at this juncture is that I am grateful to previous mentors for leading us to the path that we are all now on. You got that right? Re: Dexter Yager Quote
I remember what a man once said to all of us not too long ago. He said "The best way to fight your enemies is show them you still love them" Orrin Woodward, Fall Leadership 2007. I have been around the block for awhile and now with the MonaVie and Team system, I am able to contact some of the people I have been in with Dexter Yager's group from the past. Sometimes they bring up certian things and it just amazes me that most of the time it is negative and they try and compare now with then. I have to remind them that Orrin and Laurie started their leadership venture thru Ron & Toby Hale which learned what they learned from Dexter Yager who learned from Joe Victor, who learned from Rich DeVos, who learned from Nutralife, and only God knows more.
My point is this and I address every situation that comes up in my groups this. I thank all the men and women in the past, who forged thru all this with only with what they knew and how they did it. When Timmy thinks he is better than Orrin , he is right. Timmy had Dex, Rich, Orrin, George, Larry, Dan and numouris others who have learned from each other to give me a system which I can improve and follow to help new people to become better than Timmy. I alway promote to the men & women I am around that if someone has something to say about the old days, make sure you and them only say good things because you never know when you may say something in Wisconsin and someone in Canada or Texas or Florida etc. may hear or be told what you said and then because of the transformation of our business and where we are going, I will have to grace a Team stage in Dallas or Grand Rapids, and I certianly don't want to be remembered by someone in the audience , or worse, by a couple who might be hosting me in their city for something I said bad about Orrin or Dexter or anyone from the past. I am so grateful for the experiences and knowledge I learned from Amway, Quixtar, MonaVie, My Mom & Dad, & Team. I know that soon I will be exposed to many of the people I was involved with long before Orrin & Laurie ventured in. I believe the one and biggest difference between Orrin and myself is that I quit Amway and Orrin started and helped develop a system that ass virtually fail proof. The only thing I believe that can make this fail and I can' t stop that, is you. But it will only fail for you because I picked myself back up, dusted myself off, and I thank God I had the wisdom and courage to forge forward with Orrin and all the Team to go to a million. I want to end with this. I thank God for Dexter & Birdie Yager for having the Dream and helping so many people. I thank Orrin & Laurie for getting the vision of a million and not letting any one stop them, I thank Dan & Larry for not judging me and having the patience with me., I thank Melody for grabbing onto Team and then becoming my wife so we can make a difference for so many, I thank my Mom & Dad for givng me the burn to be in business for myself at 12 years old, I thank the 20 year old marine who gave his life so we could stay free, and most of all, I thank God for the faith and wisdom he gave me, to take the chances I did and for keeping me safe and in good health. God bless Dex, Orrin and all you leaders who work so had to give me what I have in Team. Believe me, it is a lot more than just money. Re: Dexter Yager Quote

Orrin,
Just as "community" is the key to a natural flow of products and services, pure, core valued Leadership principles learned and applied can have the same effect on culture. As Charles Colson states in his book, How Now Shall We Live" ~" We must make our case by the way we live. Others will see the truth of what we believe most clearly if we live our convictions as responsible citizens in our communities". I love waking up in the morning with that perspective on life! It's not about being fancy, smart, rich, poor, black, white, tall or short etc. it's about us, individually, becoming good citizens and collectively, becoming a "community" and our end product is "culture" We don't have to go door to door or advertise or ourselves, our community is a walking billboard for all of mankind to see. All naturally! The community we mold will negate any lies that are told! ........... I'm very proud of this community of people who have and are continuing to band together for the good of all people. We are proving to the world that we don't have to "say" it, we just go out into this world and "display it"!! Thanks for leading the charge!! Chronicles 16:9~ “For the eyes of the Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are perfect toward him, so that he can show his great power in helping them.” God Bless ~ Gary S. "The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves." ~ Ray Kroc, Founder of McDonald's
"The real leader has no need to lead - he is content to point the way." ~ Henry Miller Thanks for taking the time to write these blogs Orrin. Can't wait to see you guys at the next Major in Moncton :) . I saw Chris Brady for the first time this week-end at a seminar in Sackville. I still can't beleive the amount of positive energy that every TEAM leaders is able to share with the rest of the world. Such great people to be around with. Thank you. Re: Dexter Yager Quote

In my earlier post someone alerted me and said "I didn't know you could put swear words in a post. " My apology if that offended anyone but the word was suppost to be "was". Thanks to all who overlooked that one.
Love you all and let's keep the dream alive. Re: Re: Dexter Yager Quote

Orrin, loved the quote, but how do I tell the truth about my upline who continually lies about me to my team, without de-edifying him? I see what you've done to set the record straight with all the Quixtar lies, but with someone within the Team, who has not listened to my reasoning in three past attempts, I don't see how to set the record straight without roasting my team. Not even our common upline has had any success with him. Any advice you have or book recommendations would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks for standing up for integrity and character. Re: Re: Dexter Yager Quote

Roland, You need to go up to the first person that you both trust to sit down together. I try to resolve conflict with the person that I have the conflict with. If that does not work then I get Pastor Dickie involved to help us sort it out. In your case is there a third party that will be an honest broker to help resolve the conflict and move the team in the right direction? Do what it takes to get everything resolved because it will bring so much more joy into the experience of leading. thanks, Orrin
