I was a member in Amway in 1993 to 1996/ 97. During this time my upline had the largest group in Brazil, and he had 500,000 active members on system. In Argentina He had 80,000 .
In 2003 The leadership from brazil joined a new MLM, but since about 1997 to 1999 i would say 80% of the numbers had evaperated... during the same time the Foley organization in the USA fell apart. and this was because of Quixstar. Many of the system leaders lost some control because because quixstar became web based and many diatributors stop going to the open meetings .
I do not see how just from what i observed Amway could have been or maintained there sales #'s.
most of the diamonds i knew of from latin America and south Florida were no longer in Amway.. and without leaders how do they grow their business....
something fishy going on here.... It was my understanding that Amway was went is high as 8 billion in global sales in 1995 /96 then sales fell to about 3 billion over the next 3 to 4 years...

since 1997 here is the USA there has been major defections into different MLM...
I was in the downline of Brigs , foley, Mcewen and golden.. Brigs has been out of Amway since around 2000. Why would brig leave a downline of millions if they had not left first...
The main reason Amway started having major challenges in the USA was because of the system... some emerald level dist.. displayed online how the system really worked. with checks he had recieve for tapes and seminars and convention and he put up pictures of himself and all the big names leaders of the time... as the dist, discovered this they felt lied to and lost trust in their upline,. and some amway business imploded....

Victor, Thank you for sharing! Without an open and honest profit sharing plan that is disclosed there will be problems. Many were never told there were incomes made and there were special deals all over the place. The Team focused and fixed this and made full disclosures and reduced prices on all of our training.
