MonaVie announced their new corporate jet program!  I sure do love the MonaVie business!  What other company treats you like royalty and has reached one billion dollars in sales in just over 3 years?  Can you name any company that reached one billion dollars in sales in three years in any field?  Not many have achieved that level of success.  All Royal Black Diamonds and above qualify for jet credits based upon performance.  The bigger the pin that you achieve, the more credits you get.  Laurie and I plan on using the corporate jet to fly to the various sections of the US and Canada to do Super Opens.  We did the first Super Open in Ft. Atkins, Wisconsin and there were over 1000 people with 167 new prospects.  Business is good on the MonaVie Team!  I can't think of a better use for the jet credits than to fly in and see the super members of the Team.  Make your decision to go Black Diamond on your way to Royal Black Diamond!  God Bless, Orrin Woodward

I am listening to a phenomenal talk from Dr. Alex Schauss called The Science of Acai.   Dr. Schauss has spent years study the Acai berry and its health benefits.  I am very proud to represent the MonaVie products and heard Dr. Schauss live at the MonaVie International Convention.  MonaVie has announced the new heart health blend call Pulse!  A great product, great compensation plan and great leadership.  MonaVie has been around less than 4 years and yet they had 42 distributorships on their stage that MonaVie has paid over 1 million dollars in total compensation.  That is incredible and why MonaVie is the fastest growing company in the MLM industry.  Dallin Larsen announced that MonaVie was opening Mexico, India, Europe, Israel and other countries over the next several years.  I love being involved with a company with vision for the future!  Here is an article about Dr. Schauss and some of his studies on the Acai berries.  God Bless, Orrin Woodward

Results To Be Presented At Fruits and Vegetables Health 2007 Conference

PUYALLUP, WA, October 9, 2007 - The results of recent research surrounding MonaVie Active(TM), a juice containing acai berries and pulp, as well as other nutrient-rich fruits, will be presented in a session entitled "Antioxidants in Fruits and Vegetables and Improving Human Health" at the 2nd International Symposium on Human Health Effects of Fruits and Vegetables on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, 10:15 a.m. - noon, in the Grand Salon East at the Omni Hotel in Houston, TX. Alexander Schauss, PhD, FACN, will highlight findings of in vitro studies evaluating the antioxidant capacity of MonaVie, as well as in vivo studies to determine antioxidant absorption and bioactivity.

This three-part study examined whether the fruit antioxidants in MonaVie are in a form able to enter into and protect living cells in vitro and also examined the bioavailability of MonaVie and its effect on serum biomarkers of oxidative damage after ingestion. An initial in vitro study was performed to evaluate the antioxidant capacity of MonaVie in a cell-based antioxidant capacity (CAP) assay, as well as using the TEAC assay that found it to be 28,421 umolTE/L. MonaVie showed a clear dose-dependent antioxidant effect in the CAP assay, indicating that compounds in MonaVie are able to cross the plasma membrane of living cells and subsequently provide significant protection from oxidative damage within the cells.

In the second stage of the study, four ounces of MonaVie was administered to six participants on a single day to identify the time course for antioxidant absorption and bioactivity. Blood samples were collected immediately prior to ingestion and at 30, 60 and 120 minutes post consumption. Evidence of absorption, based on increased antioxidant bioactivity and antioxidant compounds in serum was found in all six subjects. A third randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study of 12 healthy adults was then conducted. Participants fasted overnight and a baseline blood sample was drawn. Immediately afterward, four ounces of MonaVie or a placebo was consumed. Blood samples were drawn at one and two hours after ingestion, and CAP and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) assays were used to evaluate serum antioxidant capacity and serum lipid peroxidation, respectively. Consumption of MonaVie resulted in an increase in the serum antioxidant capacity in 11 of 12 participants within two hours of consumption. Results also found that ingestion of MonaVie resulted in a decrease in serum lipid peroxidation within two hours of consumption in 10 of the 12 study participants, most likely due to the increased serum antioxidant capacity.

Alexander G. Schauss, PhD, FACN, senior director of natural and medicinal products research for AIBMR Life Sciences, has held faculty appointments at four institutions of higher learning, including that of associate professor of behavioral sciences, associate professor of research, clinical professor of natural products research and adjunct research clinical professor of botanical medicine. He now concentrates on research. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Linus Pauling Lecture Award from the American College for the Advancement of Medicine for "contributions to the medical sciences." The author of 12 books on health and nutrition, and the senior co-author of four others, Dr. Schauss lives in Tacoma, Wash.

Extend a Little Trust

Have you ever been in a situation where someone believed in you and trusted you when no one else did? How did it make you feel? What kind of difference did it make in your life?

I was in a situation like that shortly after I graduated from college. I was hired to work for Trammell Crow Company-at the time, the nation's largest real-estate developer and one of the original "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America.

It was an unusual situation because typically a partner in a specific regional office would make the hire. However, in this case, I'd had a luncheon meeting with the managing partner of the company, and he had offered me a job as a leasing agent on the spot. He didn't know which office I'd work in, but was confident there would be a good fit somewhere.

I accepted the offer, and then visited some regional offices to interview with the partners there. But in office after office, none of the partners seemed very interested in me. While I had done well in school and had had some excellent work experience, I'd indicated on my resume that my intent was to work for a couple of years and then go get my MBA. But the position I'd been hired to fill was the same position being offered to MBA graduates from the top schools. And they were being placed on a three-to-five-year fast-track path toward partnership. No one wanted to invest in training me only to have me work for two years and then leave.

In addition, I had written on my resume that my career objective was to go into management consulting and leadership development, which didn't impress these Trammell Crow partners, who were into real-estate development. So my resume and career plans essentially created a huge disconnect with everyone. At the time, I was so naive that I could barely see the problem, but I didn't feel that I could be untruthful about my intentions and simply say what people wanted to hear.

So for six weeks, I was in limbo, just working out of the corporate office but really doing nothing. After I had met with a dozen or so different partners, it became apparent that no one wanted to hire me, and I'm sure the managing director was wondering why he had. I was getting very discouraged. In fact, my confidence was at an all-time low.

Then I met with a new partner-John Walsh-who seemed excited to take a chance on me. He said, "I like this man. I believe in him. I want him on my team." He took me under his wing, and from the very first, he treated me exactly like he treated the MBAs and law school graduates he had also hired. I felt enormously grateful, motivated, and inspired. I did not want to let him down.

It was six months before I had any results. During that time, I often doubted myself. But John Walsh kept believing in me. Then, all of a sudden, things took off, and before my two years were up, I had become the top-producing leasing agent in the office and one of the top producers in the country.

John Walsh's faith in me paid off-not only for him in terms of company profits, but also for me in the way in which it shaped my leadership and my life. When I think of this man today, it is with great love and gratitude. Aside from my father, John Walsh has been the single biggest influence in my professional life (and also a profound influence in my personal life) because he believed in me and took a chance on me when no one else did. His extension of trust brought out the best in me.

The Canadian Team is exploding as we speak.  I mentioned in an earlier post the explosive growth of Claude and Lana Hamilton.  Today I would like to congratulate Mark and Tami Crawford for reaching the prestigious Black Diamond level in MonaVie.  These two are veterans of the MLM industry and have hit all time record highs in income and influence over the last few months.   The average Black Diamond income is over 1.5 million per year.  The Crawford’s are some of the best teachers on the Team as they share from their years of experience on how to build and nurture growing communities.  It has been said that genius is taking the complex and making it simple and based upon that definition, I believe that Mark and Tami are geniuses in the field of network marketing.  They have the biggest Canadian organization on the Team in and perhaps the biggest community of any MLM in Canada.  The sky is the limit for this couple as their dreams far outweigh their current reality.  When your dreams are bigger than your reality, you are in a growth cycle.  The Team is excited about reaching 1 million people and the Canadians are committed to play a big part in that million.  Maybe the Canadians will reach a million by themselves and propel the Team into multi-millions!   The sky is the limit when you have leadership.  God Bless, Orrin Woodward
