Zig Ziglar has inspired, taught, and encouraged millions of people over his career. Zig's Christian testimony has personally inspired me and many others. I salute Zig for living a life of excellence that is making a difference in other people'e lives. Here is a short video that captures some of Zig's thinking on attitude. Zig teaches us to have an attitude of gratitude. I believe that to solve your challenges, you must go beyond your challenges and focus on the solutions. The solution to your problem is not in the problem, so endlessly talking about the problem is counter-productive. By constantly dwelling on the problem, you cannot move onto the answers. I love the Albert Einsten quote, "The significant problems that we face in life cannot be solved at the same level of thinking that created them." Are you dwelling on the problems in life or dwelling on the solutions? If you do not have the answers, then find a mentor to help. The key is to listen and apply the advice of your mentor! The choice to focus and apply solutions instead of dwelling on problems, will make all the difference. God Bless, Orrin Woodward

Orrin,
Loved the video! Thanks for sharing! Our attitude is the internal lens that magnifies our perception of the external circumstances in our life. Does your attitude magnify problems or does it magnify solutions? Not all of life’s circumstances fit into our lives, but we can change our attitude to alter the outcome of each circumstance. Orrin I have heard you say that, "Attitude is the ability to reframe situations that happen in your life so you can apply the proper perspective to capitalize on them." That was a very critical growth statement for me in my life. The attitude we choose either promotes us towards our purpose or demotes us towards complacency. Thanks Orrin for always showing us how to apply the proper attitude so we can all grow towards our purpose in life! God Bless, Matt Franks Re: Zig Ziglar - Attitude Makes a Difference!

Thanks for sharing that great reminder that each of us chooses our attitude! This is a concept difficult to grasp for most people because we have been taught for so long that we are "victims of our circumstances", it is "not our fault", etc.
Once choosing a positive attitude has become a habit, we may just influence someone else to have a positive attitude, or at least reframe their circumstances, as Zig so eloquently did for the woman in the video. Re: Re: Zig Ziglar - Attitude Makes a Difference!

I just shared this video with our Church Council leadership team. We can make a difference and change the world one life at a time, beginning with our own.
