Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Booker T. Washington - Bitter or Better
by Raymond
Orrin, I enjoyed your article on Booker T. Washington, and the tremendous obstaces that he overcame to pull himself up from slavery. I often think about this current struggle and feel ashamed to even compare the present day America to the lives of these heroes. We are so blessed to live in these times and my goal is to not let the work of these heroes be in vain. Booker T.Washington adn W.E.B. DuBois were contemporaries with differing views on how to lift a people from the shackles of bondage. One believed in industy and the other stressed education, but in the end I think that they both realized that hard work, and education will not matter if Godly character and integrity are not paramount. Thank God for TEAM which has taken up the leadership mantle for the nation, and thank you for your vision and courage. Raymond
