Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Booker T. Washington - Bitter or Better
by Anonymous
Orrin, Thank you for the information on Booker T. Washington. He is my favorite American for his need to give back after rising from the shackles of slavery. It reminds me of the team and what we are doing helping others free their thinking to understand how leadership can and will make a difference in their life. Up from slavery is a good book I had read it while in college and to this day am still affected by it. One of my favorite stories about the students when he was running Tuskegee was that every student would be involved in making the bricks and putting the buildings together so that the students would not only learn through books but also learn how to work hard. Thank you Orrin for posting this story.
