Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Lou Holtz - Three Questions
by GBAmerica
Orrin, just a line to thank you again for all the GREAT ARTICLE'S this week. I've enjoyed them all. Lou Holtz - Three Questions, what a great eye opener. Can I Trust You! Are You Committed To Excellence? Do You Care About Me? You asked for us to look at any great teams, then poor teams you have been assoiated with. And how did I answer to the three questions with both groups of teams? My answer. 50/50 Suceesful people or teams, I'm always looking for Nuggits ( CONNECTION ). Unsucessful people or teams, avoid the Trap. ( DISASSOCIATE ). Never hurts to understand why and what makes people or teams unsucessful. Like know where the quicksand is. Like Lou Holtz said, "I believe it is harder to change a losing culture than it is to maintain a winning culture." But just like you, I'm just one man. Stritching. Looking for that next foot hole, rock to hang on to. But if I fall. I know I have a safty line to stop me, so I can start over again. Building character to me, is just like the mountain. Anyone can walk over a hill, but it takes man/woman to climb a mountain. One day, will my family say, do you remember Dad walking over that hill or man, thats some awsome mountain Dads been climbing. What a TEAM thats helped Dad on his way. Two mile high club... ( Thanks to all the GREAT LEADERS in TEAM. ) GOD BLESS ALL... DAVE GBA
