Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Lou Holtz - Three Questions
by Cindy H
Orrin, I love the Lou Holtz article, it helps to read it after listening about it. I am leading a committee of people at work to make a difference in areas in our department, which will make it a better work place. There are other committees doing the same thing in other areas that were formed as well. It seems to me that there are some people that are struggling with thinking on thier own in my committe or don't want to move forward. I just recently got John Maxwell's Becomming a person of influence to help me with influencin others. I am hoping this will help me influence those who don't want to move forward in the goup and those who are struggling with their own thinking. Do you have any suggestions for the two situations or any other books I can read? I really want to make a difference at this company. So far one of my ideas will be implemented which is relationship building between upper management and the department I am in. Hopefully this will give a ripple effect. Thank You for all that you do. You and Lauri are true gaurdian angels for all of us. I hope others see that too. God bless!!! Cindy H
