Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: George Wythe College & The Team

Dear Orrin – I agree with the outward premise of the article -- do good for others. It is pleasing to God to be servants of others, but I do not like this article. I think this is a very dangerous article. It appears to be biblical and support the teachings of Christ, but in reality it is espousing the subtle lies of Satan. The author talks about becoming Kings and Queens, exactly the opposite of what the bible teaches – the least among you will be the greatest is what Jesus teaches. However, the author talks about man’s fight against darkness through learning. Are you kidding me? This is the glorification of man and the story of man seeking to justify his own self-admiration and to eliminate God. This is the same sin that Eve fell into in the garden. The author also talked about the “Roman Church” rescuing the heart. Ha, the medieval Roman Church was a political entity used to control the masses. That is why Pope Innocent II instated “Confession” – what better way to keep tabs on the people than to have them tell you every thing haunting their minds. Man is fallen and cannot control Satan. Heck, I can’t get my children to obey me – how in the world am I going to control the king of darkness? The book of James really does a good job explaining that for most of us, the fight with darkness is not with Satan, but with ourselves. Man is fallen and any act we can do is like a dirty rag to God. We don’t need Satan to trick us into sin, our flesh runs toward sin. Yes, we should seek to be used by God and utilize the gifts given to us by him, but not to become kings. Aside from God, we are helpless to do right, and by right I mean glorify God. Aside from God, this battle with darkness is a farce. What it really is is an attempt to squelch the cry of our conscience with good works. Orrin, I see the world going to hell in a hand-basket, and I want to make a difference for Christ. I agree with this point, that everyone can make a difference big and small for good in the world. I believe what the author is saying will come about, but it is not a good thing to have a “Renaissance of Kings”. When the bible calls Jesus the “King of Kings”, it is a terminology meaning the greatest king. The miss quoting of scripture like this is a subtle way to lead men astray. I think your questions at the end are good, but lack a biblical or Godly focus (the questions, not you). I know you are a Godly man, but articles like this are means to glorify man not God. God Bless Kevin
