Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.

Kevin, Good thoughts. Anything taken out of context can lead us into wrong doctrin and wrong actions. I believe the author stated Kings and Queens means servants not Lords. We must redeem our minds, hearts and spirit. Learning by itself is not enough, but faith without works is dead as well. I do not see good works as quieting our conscience once we realize our good works are filthy rags. I see good works and a work of thankfulness for what Jesus Christ did for us. I also do not see the world going to hell in a handbasket unless Christian do not do what they are called to do. Yes God is sovereign and we must pray as if everything depends on him and work as if everything depends on us. This is what all the greatest Christians have done throughout the ages. Kevin, please do not become pessimistic on what people can do with God guiding their steps. I loved the article and recognize as all human literature that it is not perfect. I dwell on what I can use and leave the rest just like going through a buffet line. Take what you can use and leave the rest. Augustine was a Catholic bishop and one of my favorite authors. Reading the Bible is the only way to stay grounded and reading other authors allows us to sharpen our thoughts. Keep growing! thanks, Orrin
