Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Re: Separation of Religion & State?

Phil, I want to thank you for what you are doing. Heads up! It is great to see that there are men like you in our educational system that represent the right core values. I have three teenage girls in high school right now. I really appreciate your concerns. This is one great example that shows how a collective intelligence can create massive change. It's your empowerment as the individual that takes place right now. Because we are following biblical principles and can help you to find the right answers, the encouragement and the strength through the TEAM. You have "unlimited" recourses. If you don't mind, here are some of my thoughts to your topic: 1. If Mr.___ shares with your students that the president is an idiot then the question must come up - how and by whom did the president got elected? He was elected by the public, he represents the public, and he came from the public. The president didn't elect himself! As Orrin says – he mirrors the public. If Mr. ___ does not agree with the presidents performance, than he should educate your students to learn more about our political system. They will then understand how important it is to get informed by the right sources and take action when Election Day comes. Then they can make a difference. 2. Orrin's example about the Dutch separating the land from the ocean is a great example that you should use with your students. I am by far not a mathematic genius, but as far as I know there is either a right or a wrong answer when it comes to math. The same applies when it comes to biblical principles. There is either doing right or doing wrong. And that's fundamental! So what about politics? Wouldn't it be wise to say that the same absolutes that we find in religion can also be applied in politics? Why accepting men’s limitations if we can draw from the unlimited resource? It says in Romans 1:20-25 "For even they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man..." Our founding fathers were driven by biblical principles and embedded those into the United States Constitution. It all boils down to getting the information from the right source. Our founding fathers used the right source. It was right then, is now and will be for eternity. Phil, I would like to recommend a book to you that helped me a lot finding not only the strength, but more so the truth within me. It is called "The Search for Significance" by Robert S. McGee. Your convictions show that the Holy Spirit is working through you. You are not alone. Be assured that you will make a difference. God bless. With respect, Herbert S. Wagner
