Re: US Senators Vote Against English as America's Official Language!

Orrin, I have one question: how many, if any, of the senators who voted against making English the official language of the United States are fluent in any language besides English? Can you say "hypocricy"? By the way, I think that we really speak American or at least American English, just as our friends down under speak Australian or Australian English. Even though we can understand each other they are really distinct languages. Maybe if we call our language American or American English then there will be more of a sense of national pride to make it our official language. Just a thought! DaveC
