Question 1. Mitt Romney has expressed a belief in God. The LDS Articles of Faith state, "We believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ." The first principal of the gospel is "Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ."
The Book of Mormon teaches that any nation that possesses this land will prosper and be protected if they have faith in and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
Question 2. Some have questioned his integrity because he has changed positions. However, like Ronald Reagan, Romney shows integrity by admitting that he has learned and grown and is willing to change as he grows. We hear the same from every speaker at Team meetings and we subscribe to CDs and books so we can learn and change.
Questions 3 and 4. Romney has shown in his work (business, Olympics, and Government) that he believes in Free Enterprise and has the ability to lead and accomplish.
Does this mean he is the only candidate one should vote for? Is he the only one that meets the criteria? No, but it does show he's worth consideration and does pass the test.
We should examine the candidates then select from those who meet the criteria (Orrin's 4 questions) the one whose solutions we agree with.
