Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.

This is a fantastic post, Orrin. So many companies (or organizations) today feel that "knowledge is power", but only in regards to what knowledge the "management" possesses. I truly feel that employees empowered with information are more likely to put forth an honest effort for their organizations. When those people are "left in the dark" vs. having open communication with and from those they're involved with, there's a willingness to help bring that organization to the top. Lack of communication, or information, makes it feel like something is being withheld for some reason. And, as you said, if it can't be written on the NY Times front page, why say it? Or put another way, why is there a lack of communication? Is there something to hide? Thanks for the open communication. There's a reason your organization is achieving things that no one else is, or will ever be, able to.
