Re: Presidential Candidates - Taxes and Private Property

Orrin you have hit on a true issue in this great country of ours. The welfare system is truly a drag on our economy, creates complacency (see p. 31-32 of Launching a Leadership Revolution), and truly stifles a large portion of our peoples hopes and desires. Not to mention raising taxes for us all. Helping even a portion of those stuck in welfare to become self-sufficient, contributing members of our society could have an enormous impact on our economy and our future. It was interesting to see in the graph you presented the relatively small portion spent on education and training. The welfare rolls will only continue to get bigger unless incentives are taken away. I would be interested to see what others think of possible real solutions to this issue.
