Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Presidential Candidates - Taxes and Private Property

Orrin - would someone please comment on what should be the government’s role in Child Support and starting a second family? Some states take out 28% of net pay for two children. If you go make more, then they can take you back to court to raise it up to 28% of your new income. Even if you have a new spouse and new children to support; it is the same. They completely ignore your need to support a new family. High taxes plus high child support make for a very heavy burden for new families. If the new spouse was rich maybe it wouldn't be so bad. But alas, I remarried for love! I liked Ann Coulter's comment that a major cure for poverty is, “stop having children out of wedlock.” This gets back to personal accountability and the root of the whole mess (i.e. it is my fault for sleeping around, marrying a random spouse out of college). Wait for God's spouse for you the first time, and don't make your life more difficult than it has to be so early on! Back to the original question though, Government, Child Support and second families…. ? What are your thoughts?
