Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Presidential Candidates - Taxes and Private Property
by Bert
Gosh Orrin, I don't even know where to start. Your ability to concisely explain things is amazing. I agree with you 100% and wish more people in Congress did as well. It used to be Republicans and Democrats represented "Small Government" and "Big Government". Now it's more like "Huge Government" and "Huge-er Goverment". Although there are, of course, some exceptions. This country almost needs to do a complete 180 as far as the economy and taxation goes. I agree with Ron Paul that what must be done first and foremost is to cut spending. You can't cut taxes without first cutting spending or you will just rack up the debt even more. This is a message that everyone must hear. I have to admit, it was the TEAM system, and more precisely Bob McEwan, that opened my eyes to how taxes and spending effect the country as a whole.
