Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Warren Bennis - Collaboration and Teamwork
by DaveC
Orrin, I just read Chris's blog about the Navy Seals involved in Operation Redwing in Afghanistan and left a comment there. I would like to make a similar comment here. You and Chris have formed a TEAM of the sort to which Warren Bennis is referring. It is a group in which the whole is much greater than the sum of the parts. The difference of this TEAM from basically any other team is that the members of this TEAM have chosen themselves rather than being chosen. The reasons for the excellence of this TEAM I see as basically twofold: first is the integrity, character and courage exampled by you and Chris in founding and leading the TEAM, and second is the training system which you have furnished and the opportunity of everyone to contribute to the pool of wisdom, knowledge and experience from which all may benefit (an illustration of the concept of Wikinomics, which you introduced in your article on January 17). For all this I honor and thank you and Chris for being both the point men and the visionary planners in this Leadership Revolution and Media War through which we will all bring back America to its place of leadership in free enterprise and forward thinking. Thank you. DaveC
