Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Re: Multilevel Marketing - MLM/Networking - Benchmarking Study

Orrin, like I asked in my post...an important criteria is one that sets the MLM company apart from it's competitors. I guess we could call it the "Hedgehog Concept." Which companies have them? What makes it any different or any better than it's competitors. How will people view it? Will they have the..."WoW, this could work!" effect....or will it have the..."oh another one of THOSE businesses, no thanks" effect. Do they have a marketing strategy that gets the right response? I know in the last business we were involved in...I got a lot of..."MLM's just aren't for me." "Not my cup of tea." Those kind of responses. Do the companies have a marketing strategy that says, "Here is a legitimate money making opportunity for everyone." ? Outside of these types of criteria: Product/Service Quality, Price, Re-Purchasability, Realistic Usefullness, ability to buy low and sell high, so-to-speak. Pay structure: Does the new guy have a chance to make a real income right away or at least very shortly after starting? Is it secure? Does it have a wealth creating ability? Then company strength: Do the distributors have a say in how the company does business. We recently learned how important this factor is. Is the opportunity secure or will it change with the blow of the wind and change the opportunity down the road so it is completely different than when you started. Does the opportunity lend itself to creating "break away groups" or "Kingdoms" like we've seen in the past or will everyone be on the same team all the way up to the very first guy. Then legality is pretty important...are we going to run out and put together a phenominal group of people, just to find out down the road we've been working another "Ponzi or Pyramid Scheme." Just a few that I know are important to me and my friends. God Bless, Jeremy
