Re: Historical Reminiscences & A Vision for the Future - Part IV

This is awesome. A lot of things are confirmed that people always had in the back of there mind. This is truly GOD's path for you, Orrin and Laurie. To take the time, seek the truth, and inform all. I understand these are your opinions, and what you observed, but we all know your character and integrity. We have put our trust in GOD to follow such leadership.
If it wasn't for you and our upline couple (mentors), my wife and I would not be a part of this. We would have faded out like I did when I joined Amway when I was 17 years old. I saw the model back then, my parents signed the paper so I could join. But, when it transitioned to Quixtar, the leadership wasn't in place. My parents, upline directs, emeralds, and even the Diamond lacked the leadership and well, none of them stayed in just for the products. I know from past that "everything rises and falls on leadership." I recently spoke with the upline emerald that I had back then, and he said, "the tools were cut, they just stopped." Case in point.
In 2002 I called the upline Diamond from the past and he said he was still in and doing well. He set me up with a guy from the UP and my wife and I signed up with Quixtar. I knew that this business was for me. The upline Diamond at the time flew up from florida, came to visit, bowled with me and my family. It was great, We thought for sure that it was our time. Well, the business still lacked leadership. We did not have a mentor. We weren't pointed to the tools. Couldn't afford the products. Didn't have any tuesday meetings. The closest tuesday meeting was a Team of Destiny meeting, where they talked about this team approach thing, how silly. (Yeah, how silly now.) So, bottom line, we did not renew.
Still, something was always in the back of my mind. So I am thankful that the Lord pointed myself and my family to Arizona. Where I am now in the TEAM, part of history. A great thanks to Scott and Missy. Without you, we wouldn't be here.
I told myself, I would not post anything on the blog. Stay quiet. Well, I felt the call to type. I hope I did not come off wrong. I just want you to know that I am so glad all of that happened. Kept my mind and eyes open. My struggle might have lasted 13 years, but I am still here. Finally found my destiny. Thanks again.
