Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Randy Pausch - Live, Love & Learn from the Last Lecture
by Jen Cavanaugh
It seems to me that Randy's sense of security was related to the fact that he already lived each day to the fullest. That he understood early how important it is to strive for your dreams. He could have been in a position of regret, like many people would, for not attaining the dreams he had in his heart. Such as his PHD, or his work at Disney. How much peace it seems to give him to know that he had lived his life fully, and has this legacy to leave for his children and wife. These are principles I have learned through the Team system. That it isn't the end result of achieving a certain level or obtaining wealth. It is what I have learned and experienced in the process. Who I have become. I would not be the same person if I were given success without the journey. Who I am is more important than what I have!
