Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Trust, Delegation & Productivity
by Tim & Peggi
What do leaders that you follow consistently do or not do to earn/inspire trust and loyalty? Over the past 2+ years of being associated with the leaders of our team I have seen amazing examples of selflessness being given over and over again. Our team leaders have been able to capture my trust almost from the beginning because they were willing to look us in the eye and promise us their support and encouragement. I will never forget the first time I met our leaders, we were having a get together and everyone that I had invited to come over to see who we were involved with cancelled that morning. Our leaders came over anyway just to meet with us to try and get to know us. They asked questions about us and more importantly, wanted to hear the answers not to manipulate us but because they truly wanted to know us. They have become some of our closest friends because they are never satisfied with where they are at in life or at what levels of success they have achieved. They want so desperately for us to win, truly win in every part of our lives. I have many close friends at church, work and associations I am involved in but this relationship is different. Our love for them and their love for us is deeper than we have ever felt before because we know they will always be there for us and they know we will always be there for them. I told our leaders a short time ago, about six months I think, that one thing they would never have to do is look over their shoulder to see if we were there. I don't know what the future holds but I don't care, I believe God has brought my family to this Team for His great and mighty works. I will never, NEVER, leave the side of my leaders, my mentor but most importantly to me, my friend. My prayer for anyone reading this is that you can develop the trusting relationship that my wife and I have been able to do with the leaders of your team. In my opinion, you do not have enough money to pay for the blessings that God will pour down on you if you do just that. Have a truly blessed day.
