Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Polish Solidarity Movement - A Case Study in Resistance to Tyranny
by Anthony Esh
Orrin, Thank you so much for joining the ranks of the historical elite and leading in a situation that you could have just ignored and swept under the rug. Your example is truly inspiring and will benefit millions of people for generations to come. I can hardly bear to think of how different my life would be in the next couple of years if I had never been exposed to the truth about "certain situations." In a culture that encouraged people to ingore any hint of negative (valid or not), I was on track to spend another number of years struggling in a hopelessly declining system all the while being told that I was still in the best business in the world and that quitting would be a tremendous lack of character on my part. It scares me to think how the frustration would have ended. ...All that to say, thank you for being willing to face the facts and sacrifice your personal security for the good of the team. There's one line that stood out to me in the middle of that article: "With it's members immidiately jumping to 1.5 million after legalization..." I don't know how long "legalization" will take in our situation, but I doubt it will be 10 or 20 years :-) And when that is accomplished, it's going to be fun! Thanks again, Anthony Esh
