Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Steve Jobs - CEO Apple Computers/Pixar Animation

A few words from Steve's speech that really stood out: "Much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on." "You can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future... believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it takes you off the well worn path. And that will make all the difference." "The only way to find great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking and never settle." "Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." What a tremendous leader and humble human being! It is great to see Pixar and Apple so sucessful knowing that men like Mr. Jobs have made it happen. Thank you Orrin for passing this on. It is true what you said that Steve's principles fit right into those of the Team. Unfortunatley, he missed St. Louis. Wouldn't it be great to hear him speak at a later event? "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish"
