Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Tri-Lateral Leadership Ledger - Character Based Leadership
by fowltrievers
That is so true!! It reminded me of a Woman's leadership talk that Jackie Lewis gave in Lansing, MI a few months ago. She told a story that went something like: Imagine filling a glass with water and being unable to drink it right away. After finishing your task and returning to drink your water you find your counter puddled with water and your cup empty. You investigate and find that there are no visible cracks and no one else was home to knock it over so you refill it. Take it over to the table and find that after a while the table is now puddled with water. What has happened is there is a hairline crack that isn't noticeable or even visible to the eye. That is what a person with out integrity or character is. You may not see the problem but it's there and will continue to be there causing problems until you fix it . Thank you Jackie for painting a visual picture of this often seen problem for us and Orrin for finding a way for it to be fixed.
