Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Mel Gibson - William Wallace - Sons of Scotland
by Ian from Texas
Orrin and fellow bloggers, My sister gave me the book "Braveheart" for my birthday. This was many years ago. Before there was a movie. Nobody I knew had heard of William Wallace. The book was so good. I remember going around asking everyone if they had ever heard of this guy. William Wallace. Nope. Nobody. Time dragged by, and at some point in the future, I hear that "Braveheart" is being made into a movie. I will admit that my first thoughts were not optimistic, as that is my temperment, and movies made from books don't usually satisfy, at least not the way a good book does, in my humble opinion. Every now and then it happens. The planets line up just right, the right director, actors, and crew are brought together, and magic happens. I love the movie "Braveheart". I cannot tell you how many times I have watched it. I have watched it again since becoming involved in this Leadership journey. I am going to get a new copy of the book and study it with a new mindset. A case study could be made for all of the Leadership principles that we, as a Team, are striving to learn and apply on a daily basis. Thanks for the video reminder, Orrin. What a great way to start the day. Stay strong everyone, and be safe traveling. Ian from Texas
