Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.

Jimmie, great comments. I agree with you on the movie "Facing the Giants". In the earlier stages of the movie there is an old man who is speaking to the coach and he tells him a story about two farmers who were praying for rain. One farmer sat and waited while the other farmer went out to his field and prepared it for rain. Which prayer do you think the Lord honored with rain? Later in the movie the coach sends in his second team kicker(first teamer injured) to make a long field goal to win the game. This kicker has never even come close to making a field goal of this length in his career. The coach sends the field goal kicker out onto the field and an assistant coach grabs the head coach yelling, "What are you doing!" The head coach with a determined look on his face calmly replied, "I'm preparing for rain." Thank you to Orrin and Chris , Bill and Jackie Lewis, Brian and Sherry Powers, Ron and Kelly Balzer, Nick and Terri Zettyl and all of their families for helping us to "prepare for the rain." If you haven't watched "Facing the Giants" yet, sit down with your family and be blessed. Another great Chrisitian movie to recommend is "Joshua." God bless.
