Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.

Patrick, I believe "let the best business plan win" should work for MLM and non-MLM companies alike. Regardless of the industry the principles still apply. The point of the article, and my point for bringing it up here, is that non-competes stifle the growth of any economy or business sector, not just MLM. When I signed my distributor application for Quixtar I did NOT sign up to be an employee. I signed up for exactly the opposite. And I'm certain that is true of you and Orrin as well. Independent Business Owner to me does not mean enslaved employee (talk about misrepresentation). I've already got one of those and I'm trying to get out of it. I am forever indebted to the leadership that Orrin and the rest of the Team have provided. It absolutely blows my mind that because a "nobody" from Columbiaville, Michigan decided that he could become a somebody, a nobody from Canal Fulton, Ohio has now decided to become a somebody too. The hundreds or thousands of individuals that had to connect and influence each other for that ripple to hit me is astounding! But I digress, I simply thought it was interesting that our little corner of the business world is not the only place passionately speaking out against the negative effects of non-compete clauses.
