Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Amway by the Numbers

There ar a couple of ways to "ballpark" the numbers you are looking for. Remember, Amway/Quixtar abandoned their network of regional warehouses sometime in the early 2000s, and shipped most stuff out of Ada. You might try to find shipping data from rail and trucking firms in Ada to determine what the falloff was. Or ask Canadian authorities what their Customs flow to/from Ada was. The Bureau of Labor Statistics has an inflation calculator: http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl 7 billion in 1997 buys the same as 9,448,124,610 in 2008, about a 35% increase. If your sales were 9.5 billion in sales, you are just keeping up with inflation. If you only have 3.5 billion, your sales have gone down 64%!! You are doing almost 1/3rd of what you did 10 years ago. Some opportunity.
