Re: Amway/Quixtar North America - Confronting Brutal Reality
by
Anonymous
Hi Orrin. Australian Transparent Facts back again. The Amway management in Australia is a direct photocopy of what you have reported in your comment "the brutal reality".
The managers at Amway have told me "look at the indian group" - they are not complaining about prices & PV - they are just getting on with things. Of course this when we try to get people registered into Amway who are not part of one cultural base - we find that it is difficult to sponsor 1 in 10. I have had sponsoring rates of 1 in 2 in my early days.
But people wake up to things as time moves on & the information age offers new doors of communication. I had one person see the Amway plan a year ago, signed that day, came to a Business Support System seminar - went home & did a google on "Amway" & promptly quit.
She emailed me the links on all of the Amway lawsuits she found on the web & decided it would not be good to get her friends into it.
Ther Amway Managers in Australia just tell us to get on with it - whilst they continue to ask us to buy Tolsom Shave pack - 4 items ( 210025 ) $110.33(IBO Price) $148.95(retail) - who can afford $148.00 for a 4 items to shave their face each month. Amway managers are asking us to sell a product to the upper 1% income bracket of the community.
Whilst SA8 washing poweder has $20 per box added on to it per unit for freight. This is in the face of statements from the Amway managers " we are going to lower prices" - We expect to be able to release information in the next 4 weeks - that was back in January 2008. Still nothing to anyone on prices changes & improvements to the compensation plan.
(The improvements by the way will be focused around "compulsory selling of Amway product to customers". Of course we ask the managers, "how can we sell products at this price?" & their answers are along the lines of "we will make it better". As if.
Your point about Non English Speaking Background Amway distributors (they are not IBOs - they don't own anything) - well lets see how true that is in Australia. Below is the "Honour Roll" from Amway for May 2008:
SILVER PRODUCERS
Min Ho Bae, East Tamaki, NZ
Olga Elina, Mt Wellington, NZ
Kathleen Crichton, Manukau City, NZ
Ria Leason, Pakuranga, NZ
Eric Lim, Manukau City, NZ
Jennifer Smith, Papakura, NZ
Serene Apaipora, Manukau City, NZ
Jackie Tauti, Papatoetoe, NZ
Jean Neru, Mangere, NZ
Yan Gao, Auckland, NZ
Yan(christina) Lin, Auckland, NZ
11 RECOGNITIONS - 9 WITH Multictural background. (Oh and by the way this is the recognition list from 2 countries - Australia & New Zealand - 25 million people)
Did anyone notice that there are none in Australia. We have 20 million people - no one can reach silver in May 2008. I will suggest to you that the NZ silvers are from one group & recogintion is based on purchase of big ticket items on a payment plan. Not based on the number of IBOs who do 100pv.
Virtually no-one can do 100pv at $400 IBO costs. We can't get enough product into our basket for $400 per month. Remember, Amway mangers want us to spend $110 on 4 shaving products. I earn $80,000 per year from job - I cannot afford this. People sign up in Amway to make more "money, time, leisure" - a quote from Amways public website. How is this possible when I earn this much money from a job & I cannot afford it. Most people in Australia earn less than me.
AMWAY MANAGERS OF AUSTRALIA - YOU CANNOT SUSTAIN A BUSINESS MODEL THAT OPERATES LIKE THIS.
AMWAY IBO LEADERS - YOU SHOULD NOT ASK PEOPLE TO CONTINUE TO JOIN YOU IN A MODEL LIKE THIS.
So, again the Australian Amway business managers are leading us in the exact same way as the USA. They have no answer to the decline. They cannot change prices without US approval. They cannot change the plan without approval. Amway Australia is treated as an Alticor customer - that is why we pay $20 per unit on SA8 for transport. -
Once again it goes to integrity towards Amway Business Owners in Australia - they are willing to rip us off & those Amway managers & business owners who are left are trying to hold on to a job or at least hold on to their current groups. Both the major support systems have introduced "new" business building methods in the past 5 year to stop the flow. Network 21 inttroduced the "team" concept of "stacking" or "team building".
Here is a key question to the current IBO leaders in Australia -
Why do you need another method to try & lift the business back up? Most of you have been at it for 20+ years - if the business model you had works - then why do you need to revive it with a "new method?"
The reason you need to have a new method is because most of the people who came into Amway in the past 20 years have left. We are just a conveyer belt to that get people in & replace them. That is why most of the high level pins in Australia do not requalify. If this is not a true & correct statement - then let them prove it by telling us their current qualification level & what they have qualified at over the past 20+ years. Or let Amway Managers give us the TRANSPARENT FACTS. That way we can know the truth. Of course I know the truth - that is why I keep issuing the challenge to give us the transparent facts. I know how the numbers will stack up - I know that Amway success is a lie for the vast majority of people.
The grades of Amway managers in Australia, led by M. Coldwell are a failure.
