Re: A Network Marketer's Creed

Welcome back
Another GREAT blog. It is a topic I have been thinking about for the last couple of days since someone told me this was a Pyramid. Too bad they don't really know what a Pyramid is.
One thing I have never understood about people's issues with Networking is that almost all businesses do something similar. In simple terms, alot of what a Networker does is refer people to something. I work in a financial institution and they pay us incentives to refer people to different products. They say we are only looking out for the customers and what they need, but of course most employees refer the products they will make the most on, not the products that the customers really need. Those employees who believe in only showing a cusomter products that are good for the customer, usually don't make as much money in incentives as those who refer the most profitable products. But hey, this is a traditional business. Of course your financial institutiion would NEVER suggest something to you that was more in their best interest instead of in your best interest. We sometimes even have promotions that pay current customers to refer new customers. The current customers might not have ever referred their friends if they weren't getting paid for it. Gosh, that is OK, but referring a friend to Network Marketing is taking advantage of them. I don't know, but everyone is FREE to make their own decision. I don't lie to people, I don't try to convince them to do anything they don't want to do. Maybe I'm not as successful as some, but I don't compromise my values. whether at my tradional job or at Network Marketing.
The Media doesn't really have a clue. Look at what they report on every day. They look for the sensational, not necessarily the truthful. They are willing to compromise national security if they think it will get them the story first. If they will do that, they will do anything.
