Re: Why Socialism Fails Everytime - Entrepreneurship isn't Rewarded
by
Orrin Woodward
Here is a comment that was sent to my email because they were having a hard time posting it to the blog. thanks, Orrin
I liked your socialism blog and tried to register to leave a comment, but it didnt let me - here is the comment I would have left
I agree with most of what you said, my life took a similar path and still does (have not yet created a large company or lots of money). Where I might see things differently is in your analogy about the pregnant mother on welfare, and you sitting on a beach retired. I believe its in your genes to work and help, and after a few weeks of destressing on the beach, will likely find the need to be productive again as a raison d'etre - a life purpose or mission or vision.
I suggest you might find social entrepreneurism the best of both worlds - making your money while helping people help themselves - giving them the opportunity to rise out of poverty, and provide them with true incentive and inspiration to get off welfare; the people I speak to who are on welfare don't feel that good about themselves, but see themselves also punished for trying to make a life. In listening to people's story, from all socio-economic levels, they all have a valid story like yours and mine. Consider solving two issues with one stroke - social entrepreneurism.
Peace & JOY!
