Welcome to my leadership blog. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree. No worries. The only rules are that you post under your own name and that you think and discuss in a civil manner. People who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. The Bible states, "Iron sharpens iron" and we will sharpen one another by what we read, write and think. The goal of this blog is to help us identify and follow truth in all areas of our lives. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and transform yourself and others through the renewing of our minds.
Re: Re: Why Socialism Fails Everytime - Entrepreneurship isn't Rewarded
by Orrin Woodward
Arjay, I will say what I have said many times before. This is no free lunch unless you are a charity case. The workers must perform or they lose their jobs. The business person must perform or else they lose their business to more effective business people. You cannot union protect jobs because other countries that will base everything on performance will kick our butts. Your only security is in your ability to perform period. Anything else is a short term gain for a certain segment at the expense of the rest of society. We all must put our oars in the water and row. Employees and business people. Quit dividing and start uniting around results is my belief. The real people that ought to be ashamed are the politicians who play class warfare to divide our county and get elected. Soaking the rich to benefit the poor has been a card played many times throughout history with the same devatating effects every time. Would anyone care to point out why North Korea cannot feed itself and South Korea has a healthy economy? How about East Germany still having building with bullet holes from WW II and an economomy that could not feed itself while West Germany thrived. Facts are facts and no rhetoric can change them. thanks, Orrin
