Re: Re: Randy Forbes - A Christian Nation

I knew most people wouldn't receive my comments in the right way. Yes, I am a Christian and my relationship is better with Christ than it's ever been thanks to TEAM.
Please do share your thoughts on the Presidents I listed.
You should do some research on old Abe. There are speeches he made as President saying that he had no intention of doing away with slavery and he was also planning on shipping them all back with or against their will. The war had nothing to do with slavery! That is a lie of Big Government indoctrination (nationalizing education). It wasn't until one hundred years later that black people began to be seen as humans rather than property.
Bush's moves were totally illegal moves and there is no evidence to him keeping us safe but there is plenty of evidence that his actions have actually put us in harms way for years to come. Osama said he wanted us over there and he got what he wanted and he also said he wanted to bankrupt us while in pursuit of him and he's won on that too! Yeah, thanks Bush! And please don't talk about him stopping taxes for paying for murder, aka abortion. Him killing innocents abroad with tax payer money kind of cancels that out imho.
Truman killing hundreds of thousands of human beings to "save" hundreds of thousands of humans just because they're American was wrong! It's no different than legalizing embryonic stem cell research (murder/playing God) to "save" others.
My belief as a Christian and the authority of the Bible tells me that our rights come from God, not Government. That God gave us free will (the RIGHT to choose either right or wrong) and to suffer the consequences.
Again, please tell me where in the Constitution does it give Congress the authority to establish a religion (and yes saying that we are people of the Judeo/Christian faith is)? Why not look at what the unintended consequences of this could be? What will happen when a new admin comes in and because of this proposed legislation he feels he can come in and change which religion he wants to say we are since we would already be in the business of establishing a religion? Just like Bush and his lackeys not realizing how the Patriot Act and the DHS could come back under a new admin to bite us as it already has with us (the "rightwing extremist terrorist" as they say, and they've already arrested US Citizens under the Act and with the authority of the DHS being able to print their own no knock warrants w/o going to a Judge, which is illegal)!
I believe the Founders knew this could happen and that's why they built the type of Government they did, which all the Government should do is make sure we stay free even from people within Government, to be able to practice what religion we want!
I so much believe with all my heart that we as a people would get back to a Christian nation if we followed the Constitution, and let the local communities take back over schooling our kids and they then could put prayer back in school, set the example and also teach them the right principles.
And where did I say that I didn't want Godly men and women in congress? I absolutely do! True Godliness to me is walking the walk, not talking the talk. Take Orrin and Chris for example. They never had to say they were Christians but I knew they were by their actions and their example! That's what I want from our elected representitives!
I guess I am just saddened that Orrin, whom I deeply respect and admire and has opened my mind, would put a video that says this and with a guy who is a hypocrite to boot.
Please tell me where my thought process is wrong.
All this is of course said with a gracious and humble spirit. I know sometimes with text it's hard to see the emotions behind the text and it can be misinterpreted to seem harsh.
