Anon, Thanks for you thoughts. I do not believe that Christian and Soldier are oxymorons in anyway. One of the best loved songs is Onward Christian Soldiers and all Christians are soldiers in His army. Individually we will die to selves, but corporately we are called to defend the weak. Allowing evil people to rape, pillage, and steal while we sit idle calling ourselves Christian pacifist would be silly and cowardly. Soldiers and all other legitimate callings are sanctified to Christ work. thanks, Orrin
